To shout at teenagers swearing by a school?

For context, I’m in my early 20s and normally don’t get involved with teenagers swearing. I mean, I wasn’t an angel and I’d rather not have kids hear it but whatever. Not worth the battle and it’s not illegal so I don’t care.

Today I was picking up my friend’s daughter from school (very naice area and the kids involved looked like fairly typical MC hipsters) and a group of teenagers were standing against the primary school gates after leaving their school half an hour before (next to each other but not attached). As a stream of 5/6 year olds were leaving, one of the boys said about a friend of theirs in the loudest voice

“It looked like he was sucking a big dick!” Including vile actions. I just snapped. I was perfectly calm but stern (sound like my nan) and they actually apologised and looked very guilty. Can only imagine what their mums would say. Anywhere else and i wouldn’t care, but can’t six year olds leave school in peace without teenagers simulating oral sex?

Now THERE’S a phrase I didn’t think I’d be saying today!

Of course yanbu

Good for you, I’d have done the same!

It’s not big and it’s not funny to do that in front of little kids.

YANBU. I hope it embarrassed him.

I was walking with my young DC near some teenagers a couple of weeks ago and a couple of them started shouting profanities. One of them chastised them as there were ‘little kids near’, he apologised to me so I smiled at him and thanked him.

Nah I'd do it too (accompanied by my best 'teacher look' to really mortify them!) Teenagers often say stupid stuff to each other and don't think about their surroundings - in my experience they're normally very apologetic!

Ok I’m glad others would do this too because as the evening goes on I’m feeling a bit silly but tbh if it stops a little kid going home and talking about big dicks I’m happy..!

Just swearing would have got a dirty look.

Crude sex talk, I'd have done the same.
