...and flossing your teeth on the tube is one of them?

I'm sorry but there is no excuse for having a forest on your pits male or female lol Other than the fact that it is a perfectly normal part of human anatomy? The pits in question stank because they hadn't been washed, not because they were hairy.

WelcomeToGilead · 10/05/2018 05:54

@ariesgirl1988

You wouldn’t want to sit next to me then! I deliberately started to grow my pits when my four yo declared that women don’t have body hair. That is slightly more horrifying than poor delicate you looking at a very normal part of the body. My pits are mine, so stuff that nonsensical attitude luv.

LardLizard · 10/05/2018 07:27

I can’t see what the problem is with people applying make up in public?😵

LardLizard · 10/05/2018 07:30

Someone this week came out of the gym hot n sweaty in a gym kinda bra and pants with leggings on over the top literally dripping in sweat then said to her friend

About how she’s not go her swimming kit and does she think she can get away with going in the pool like that
In its he gym bra and pants and the friend was like yeah yeah
Then she proceeded to go in the pool 🤢🤮in her sweaty clothes

SamanthaBrique · 10/05/2018 07:57

@LardLizard I've also seen women at the gym do a really intense class and then get dressed and made up to go out without showering! And I'm not talking about those who are going straight home after the gym or those who have to nip to the shops before they get home, I'm sure we've all done that, but people who are actually going out to meet friends for drinks etc. My gym has perfectly decent showers - use them!

Hairy pits don't bother me, we've all got them, nor does makeup. And I saw a woman change a toddlers nappy on the tube recently but fortunately it was just wet, not shitty. Not that that's acceptable either!

On the top deck of a bus in London a few years ago. Young couple with a child about 6 years old telling them that he desperately needed to wee. No problem - they took him to the back of the bus. The stream of wee followed me down the stairs.

Bridezilla2be · 10/05/2018 08:17

Spraying loads of hairspray! I couldn’t even see the person and I was choking on the amount filling the carriage...

Fluffyears · 10/05/2018 08:20

Aries no one has the right to tell people whether to shave or not it is personal choice. You have no right to refer to her as a dirty bitch because she has taken the decision not to conform to stereotype. We all have hair there but some choose to remove andnother not to, neither is wrong. What is wrong is judging people for it.

baxterboi · 10/05/2018 08:27

There was a man watching an episode of Family Guy without headphones on my train yesterday. The volume was loud!

Anyone who ha seen the show will know its very non-PC and there is a lot of swearing. I felt quite awkward but he didnt seem bothered!

aladyofindeterminateage · 10/05/2018 15:27

A couple of women in the row in front were putting nail varnish on while the rest of us were watching our DC in a school play. The smell was vile, apart from the sheer inappropriateness.

Some people just have no idea of acceptable behaviour.

TomRavenscroft · 10/05/2018 16:41

dirty bitch there is no excuse for hairy pits specially on a hot summer's day!

dirty bitch for having hair under her arms?

Away and boil your head, you unpleasant individual.

GrannyHaddock · 10/05/2018 20:26

The (middle-aged) woman opposite me in the tube today put on her mascara. It was about midday, so I expect she hadn't just rolled out of bed. I was glad when she finished, but then she took out a tube of moisturiser or something, and started rubbing it into her bare legs. She was rather stout and had trouble bending to reach her ankles and feet, so much so that I nearly offered to help.

Haffiana · 10/05/2018 20:37

and this woman lifted her arm to hold onto the bar and she was wearing a vest top and i swear to god it was like a forest under her arm dirty bitch there is no excuse for hairy pits specially on a hot summer's day!

So so sad that a person's life is so piss poor that it calls a woman a dirty bitch because of hairy arm pits.

It is clear who is a bitch here.

GrannyHaddock · 10/05/2018 20:41

And I had a nail polisher last week, filling the carriage with fumes. Really, this is stuff that's best done at home. Just start getting ready to go out those few minutes earlier and spare your fellow-travellers your bathroom activities.

IJustHadToNameChange · 10/05/2018 20:48

I got stuck on a delayed train with a woman across the aisle clipping her fingernails. You could hear the clippings landing.

Dhalandchips · 10/05/2018 20:55

I have hairy pits! I must be a dirty bitch! (Misses point of thread) Grin

Fluffyears · 10/05/2018 21:34

I shave my armpits because I prefer it but it is none in mine or anyone else’s fucking business if someone does or doesn’t. That’s like saying ‘she had lips the dirty bitch!’ Since everyone has armpit hair after puberty.

expatinscotland · 10/05/2018 21:43

I was behind a guy who puked on the seat in front of him.

Gwenhwyfar · 11/05/2018 05:35

Esker - using deodorant in public is one of the things I'd forgotten happen in Britain. Got a shock when I came back from living abroad.

Gwenhwyfar · 11/05/2018 05:46

"if there's too much hair get rid or keep it well groomed"

What is too much armpit hair? What level is too much and what is is too much for?

Gwenhwyfar · 11/05/2018 05:48

"Then she proceeded to go in the pool 🤢🤮in her sweaty clothes"

I don't see what harm a bit of sweat will do in a chlorinated pool.

Another South London bus journey, packed bus and mother checking her young child for nits. South London train journey, guy urinating about ten steps away from the loo.

Lethaldrizzle · 11/05/2018 07:04

I agree - personal grooming should be done in private, including putting on make-up
