I’ve not changed it since 2013 and I was 5 stone lighter.

Actually I find it a little sad that so many women would rather have a profile pic of their husbands and kids. I’m sure your friends would rather see you

In which case there are plenty of non-profile pics that they can see me in (or an old profile pic, and presumably a future one). Honestly - bizarre!

My professional picture which I use on my website is now about 6 years old and I look much older and fatter now.

I don't give a bugger. I never meet my clients in person so I'd prefer them to live with the idea of me then!

People my age see that as a sign that someone doesn’t like how they look

People my age seem far more aware of internet privacy issues and the risks of putting too much of your personal information online.

No one I know puts a recognisable photo of themselves on public social media along with full, real name, dob, education history, employer, etc.

My friends know who I am. I do not need to put my face on the internet so they recognise me
