To think the newsagent lady should walk to deliver the papers

Every morning I leave for work at 7am. My road is fairly quiet but double parked on street cars so only one car can pass at a time. And every morning the lady who owns the newsagents drives down our road. Stops her car 2/3 times to get out of the car completely and delivers a paper! Climbs back in and crawls down a few more doors. Back out again to deliver a paper. You get the idea. AngryWhilst the poor people wanting to get to work behind her wait!

AIBU to be Aargh!!!! And yes I have scowled at her and asked help to drive on please!

YRNBU Tell her to get a bike or park at end of your Road and walk one side then the other back to her car simple, or pay a paper boy.

yanbu
though once a week we have three (3!) bin lorries (one per bin) crawling one after another down our street at 7:30.

paperchasing · 05/05/2018 14:56

I don't mind bin lorries!

But surely bin lorries would be worse as they'd be stopping at every house, so I don't see why you don't mind them but object so much to this lady delivering papers!

paperchasing · 06/05/2018 18:02

Because bin lorries don't have a choice! The lady could quite clearly park safely at one end of the street and deliver the papers then move on to the next street?

Maybe she could. Or maybe she couldn't because she's not fit enough to do so - she still has a JOB to do and is doing her JOB and it's pissing you off because you're making a judgement call on how YOU think she should be doing it.
