Not a name but a funny slogan... some years ago outside a camping shop near Newcastle. "Now is the winter of our discount tents" Grin

The Flying Handbag in Blackpool (club).

We've got a scaffold company near us that also say "a perfect election every time" on their vans.

Dog groomers near us called " Hair off the dog". & " Bow Wow Boutique".

SerenDippitty · 05/05/2018 08:37

A bit cheating as not in England but in Continental Europe there's a chain of shops called "athletes foot". Apparently no-one told them that it actually means something else.

Saw a bike shop called Erotic in Tokyo.

DumbledoresArmy · 05/05/2018 08:37

I ment 'erection' not 'election' lol!!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 05/05/2018 08:39

Best lawyers' firm name I know is unfortunately fictional - Slow and Bideawhile. (Trollope). Evidently not a lot has changed since Victorian times.

It was in Oman, so they weren't to know, but there used to be a picture framing etc. shop named FF ARTS in big red letters.

I took a picture of it and sent it to Private Eye for their I Spy slot - got £10.

An all-women plumbing company called ‘The Cockstoppers’

There’s a pub near us called The Amble Inn - when I suggested going there my other half said: “The Ann Boleyn? Never heard of it” Not sure it’s intentional though.

Pecano · 05/05/2018 09:07

I always laugh at he Everton Football shop inside Liverpool One - they called it “Everton Two” so that the address would be Evertone Two, Liverpool One 😂
