He's in year 6,has progressive vision loss, mild hearing loss, respiratory issues, mobility issues. No friends and recently been at the receiving end of some nasty peer behaviour which school knows and (slowly) dealt with.
Tries hard in school and does not misbehave. On the spectrum, emotionally young.

Every week two children get a merit.
26 weeks now, so each child in theory should have had one and 26 a second one.
Aibu that considering ds really doesn't have the easiest time it would be nice for him to have had two, esp when recently he's been upset socially?

OP it sounds like your boy needs a bit more than a certificate

I would discuss it as part of a wider discussion.

I know a complained , about a bully getting class award a week after bullying was discovered, as part of my disatisfaction of how the bullying to my son was been handled . Anyway my Ds got it the following week for actually a good reason but it felt hollow, he had been told he would get it soon . I did the photo , well done etc but it felt hollow .

Just to be clear in my case I never asked for my Ds to get award just was annoyed at bully getting it.
