When does your PMT start? Do you ever get period like pain without a period?

I feel really pre menstrual in terms of sore breasts yesterday, and today had some period style cramping. Although not severe pain. Wondering if my period's on the way early, or if this could be more bullshit to do with adenomyosis/ possible endometriosis? Do you ever feel like your period's coming, for it to not come for another few weeks?

I do get some pain during ovulation which is quite distinctive, and that isn't what's going on now.

I often get cramps up to 48 hours before a period.
Never weeks before though, cycle is a very regular 28 days. Used to get very obvious ovulation pains- don’t now that I’m perimenopausal.

I occasionally have PMT for four or five days before my period finally appears, but not as long as you! Usually it is just 24-48 hours.

My ovulation pains aren't distinctive like yours. Mine could easily be mistaken for PMT; I only know which I have by looking at the calendar. Also the distinctive symptom that dh can't keep his hands off me when I'm ovulating. Would the timing be right for your discomfort to be ovulation?

I'm in my fifties. When I was younger, menstruation was a nightmare. Ibuprofen stopped that overnight, within an hour of taking it.

Cramping throughout your cycle isn't unusual for adenomyosis or endo

When I first started going through peri menopause I would have all the symptoms of a period but no actual period for weeks on end

I have endometriosis and I used to get awful pains before my period sometimes 2 weeks before. I'm now using evra patches so I now only have a period every six weeks but still have pmt usually the week before.
