So Matthew Wright is correct

The chase guest said in a conversation about woman’s rights that Paris lees used to be a boy

Now Matthew was told to apologise on the guests behalf despite the show receiving no complaints he asked why he should considering no complaint has been made and the guest was factually correct

Husband has now hit peak trans he was the one who pointed this out to me

If this is true, I'm shocked. Yanbu

If this is true, then I fully support him & hope he speaks out fully against the madness of the erosion of women's rights.

I see there were a lot of issues with change in production company but maybe this was the straw that broke the camels back? He knows a lot of people and people will stick up for him if this is correct. Remember when he outed John Leslie?

She was rude but she was stating a fact. If she felt the need to apologise to Paris then that would be appropriate. No-one needed to apologise to the viewers or to the trans community as her comment wasn't transphobic

Matthew didn't make any comment about any person on the panel - male/female/other

It was a female guest called Anne Hegarty, on the panel who incidentally has autism, said to another guest that they used to be a boy which is a biological fact regardless of what they called themselves now

No complaints were received to the show or ofcom

I used to watch the wright stuff but havent much since it changed production companies.

I think they should just end it, it wont be the same without matthew. Put something new on in the mornings.

Aw I love The Wright Stuff. Won't be watching it without Matthew though. Shame because it's the best show Channel 5 have and the only one I watch (well I put Milkshake on for DS as well)

Most of the ardent TRAs seem to be teenagers so I doubt they're up in time to watch TWS.

I really like the Wright stuff and often watch it. I saw the episode with AH and although it was cringy she was only stating a fact.
I don't think anyone should be made to apologise for anything unless they are actually sorry and want to themselves. There are too many hollow meaningless apologies.
