And would you always change them straight after a night of, erm, bed-activities.

Asking for a friend...

I struggle enough sticking to the baggage limit without taking 14 pairs on pyjamas!!!

I wouldn't pack a fresh pair for every night by any means but I'd bring about 3. The idea of sweating into the same pyjamas for 14 nights really crosses my gross-threshold.

OwlinaTree · 29/04/2018 19:54

About once a week. I have a lounging around pair then I put a different pair on to sleep in.

raindropsandsunshine · 29/04/2018 19:56

I wear them for evening relaxation after a shower, and not for sleep. So every 2-3 days.

LeonoraFlorence · 29/04/2018 19:57

A fresh pair every day. My DDs are the same.

PrincessConsuelaBannanaHammock · 29/04/2018 19:58

Every night.
I can't imagine going for a shower at night and putting on the same pjs I had on the night before!
No wonder I have so much washing Blush

OwlinaTree · 29/04/2018 19:59

Every night is mad though. All this washing is such a waste of energy and bad for the environment.

somanybloodysticks · 29/04/2018 20:00

Grin at the questions about bedroom activities in PJs! My, ahem, friend, does not do bedroom activities in PJs but puts them back on afterwards and is currently TFAB so more active than usual. Basically this OP was based on the realisation that they probably need washed more often!!! Blush

I don’t sleep in mine, I only wear them after me and DD have had a bath and until I go to bed. I wear pants and a sleep nursing bra (to avoid midnight milk fountains!!) which get changed at least every day (dependent on said milk fountains!). If I do wear them to sleep in I change them every couple of days as I do get pretty warm in bed, but I can’t be arsed to create myself even more washing to do

Queenoftheblitz · 29/04/2018 20:03

Experts say we perspire 2 pints a night. I either go naked in the summer or clean pjs in winter. I can't get to sleep in sweaty togs.

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 29/04/2018 20:04

I change mine every night because I'm a sweaty person. DH sweats less than me despite being far more warm-blooded so probably does his a few times each week. He never smells though, whereas I smell like a skiprat most mornings.

snowboardingqueen · 29/04/2018 20:05

It surely depends on the person. My DH has clean every night as he sweats, I on the other hand only glow, and change them every 3/4 nights. I shower every morning, so I’m clean!

inkandstone · 29/04/2018 20:09

Two days max if I wear them, but I always end up taking them off as I get too hot, so never wear them for a full night.

user1487194234 · 29/04/2018 20:09

Every day

TomRavenscroft · 30/04/2018 11:33

I wear PJ bottoms for about five nights at a time. Might change my top (I wear a vest top, and a long-sleeved top over it for pottering/sitting up in bed) more frequently.

I wear knickers with them. I've never understood the no-knickers-under-PJs thing.

I actually like sleeping naked and sometimes find PJs restrictive, but I agree with a PP that nightwear is fun. I like having several pairs of trousers and shorts to choose from, some sillier than others Grin

Grilledaubergines · 30/04/2018 11:42

owlina if there’s washing every day, a pair of pjs is going to make no difference. People make other environmentally conscious moves to counterbalance. For me, washing is essential every day. But I rarely use my car during the week now. No guilt from me.

MyotherUsernameisaPun · 30/04/2018 12:24

I sleep naked so not my area of expertise but surely your pjs are removed pre-shag? Trying to imagine why that activity would require them to be changed!

Emus · 30/04/2018 12:27

Every other day.

Olympiathequeen · 30/04/2018 13:22

Pj bottoms (which I never wear) are like pants and would need changing every day. That’s why I only wear a t shirt and fresh pants in bed at night

Smellyjo · 30/04/2018 13:28

I'm in the 5-7 wears camp. With no knickers. I can't understand knickers in bed, doesn't your fanjo need to be free sometimes? I wash every morning so not sure why daily changes would be needed!

QuinionsRainbow · 30/04/2018 15:03

We haven't got any to change! But we do generally shower every night before bed.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 30/04/2018 15:08

Change them 2/3 times a week but I don't sleep in them.

IrmaFayLear · 30/04/2018 15:09

Wearing pj bottoms for five nights? With no pants? Ugh. Just ugh.

fantasmasgoria1 · 30/04/2018 15:10

I wear pants with them so every three days

deadringer · 30/04/2018 15:14

No wonder the environment is fucked up. All that unnecessary washing and drying.Angry

ankasi · 30/04/2018 15:36

I change them every week, but then I am not sweating much at all, even in the summer.

However, if I'm not well, I do change them more often.

If I'd wear a fresh pair every day, I wouldn't be able to keep up with the laundry.
