The strange, alien like yellow ball appeared in the sky for the first time this year so I dashed out and put the laundry on the line and sat in the garden in the sun. Now? It's bloody raining again.

fuzzy, we went to north Cornwall in 2008 and it rained every single day in August for the week, apart from the day we got there. lovely beautiful place but put us off going again! still walked around and did things of course, but the weather does put a damper on things when its not warm or a bit sunny. ( hate it too hot myself though) and your rain dodging. UK weather is so unpredictable and today , in essex, its non stop rain.

blueskyinmarch · 30/04/2018 12:41

Well it is another beautiful day here on the east coast of Scotland. Sunny and warm.

Spudlet · 30/04/2018 12:58

It's essentially a vertical river outside here in Norfolk. I've staved it off all winter, but today I bowed to the inevitable and we went... to soft play. I've been trying to hold off DS finding out about the existence of such things for as long as possible 😭

Forecast to improve by the weekend though, I may even remove my thermal vest again!

BitOutOfPractice · 30/04/2018 13:00

I'm in Essex. It's pissing down and I'm freezing my arse off. So fed up of it now

dayinlifeof · 30/04/2018 13:00

The weather is dire, in terms of heating we normally only heat our house in the winter but last night I really wanted to put it back on - I can't find the wireless heating thing or I would of done.

Its just not stopped and was the same on Good friday, still went out for a walk though and fish and chips down the front.

Delatron · 30/04/2018 13:45

It's about 7 degrees here in the SE today, heating on high. It was warmer in December! I had to dig out my gloves this morning.
When it does finally warm up for a few days there better be no 'it's too hot' moaning. It's been cold for about 8 months!!

TerfsUp · 30/04/2018 13:49

It's freezing today! Spring is never going to arrive.

grumble moan whinge complain

The80sweregreat · 30/04/2018 13:52

this is the problem with UK weather - either too blooming hot and sweaty or colder/ rainy/ not hot enough ( for some)
it is going to cheer up by the weekend in the SE though i saw today, so hang on in there.

Delatron · 30/04/2018 13:53

Now I'm very pleased for once Scotland is getting some sunshine, just checked the temps up there and I wouldn't call 9 degrees warm for this time of year.

Looking forward to some warmth this weekend and hopefully that will be the end of this cold, miserable winter.

ArcheryAnnie · 30/04/2018 14:02

I now get a bit anxious at really unseasonable weather, because extreme weather is just going to carry on getting more extreme as climate change hits. I could hear the grumble of thunder as I went to sleep last night, and on and off all day today, and it's made me quite unsettled.

And I used to love a good storm!

blossomy · 30/04/2018 17:25

Don’t forget folks there’s global warming!

Yeah right Grin

ArcheryAnnie · 30/04/2018 17:37

blossomy, er, global warming doesn't mean we get endless sunny weather, it means that the entire global climate patterns are changing and extreme weather of all sorts - cold as well as hot - are becoming more common, and will only get worse.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 30/04/2018 18:21

In fact as the planet warms we are more likely to see such disruptive patterns like this more frequently.

Peanutbuttercups21 · 30/04/2018 18:23

blossomy, I think Global warming would mean more storms and rain for the UK

Not nice South of Spain type weather Grin

Maybe the term "Global Warming" needs rebranding, like hmm (oh, this has already been done!) "Climate Change" (as the warming bit sounded a bit too cosy)

The80sweregreat · 30/04/2018 18:45

I would hate it hot all the time . I can’t bear it. My friends think I’m mad.
