I completed London Marathon last weekend. It was a running joke with my family that every time I did a long run at the weekend, it would then snow

Yep. Dd started a Sat morning dance class after xmas and there have been just two times we’ve been when it’s not been raining. And two were cancelled due to snow. It’s unbelievable.

Trained through the worst, longest winter to run a marathon last Sunday in scorching sunshine to be back to winter this weekend. Joke.

Urgh , yes you are so right. I've wanted to do bike rides every weekend and it's rained every time, then usually much fairer on Monday. Just got caught in heavy hail before unexpectedly and had no rain cover for the poor toddler.

Ooh?! Where did you hear about there hot may? It's usually hot the last weekend when we are at a festival but not often before.

It just feels as bough winter is endless and we’ve not had any spring. I’m fed up of winter clothes, boots and having to keep the heating on all the time. Summer had better be decent!

It really is endless cold and rain and bad weather. Those few days of warmth we had last week were amazing.

Longest winter ever which followed a rubbish summer. (Yes apart from the lovely June heatwave). It's nearly May, heating is back on.

I dug my vests back out, today.

It's been hideous this year. May next week, and it still feels like winter most days.

It's not been that bad here, I don't think (NW coast). We've definitely had more dry weekends than that. It's also been gorgeous here today; sunny and warm. I've been pootling in the garden and was able to wear a t-shirt when I went into town with the DC.

It seems a touch slow getting up to consistently warm weather, but it's been alright for us so far.

Every time I put my thermals away the weather goes cold again. At this rate I'll be in thermals 24/7 and am considering smothering myself in goose grease and sewing myself into them...

I read on line about a May heatwave! Probably means it won't.

If it was the express reporting it it's definitely a lie! They promise a heatwave every year.
