I LOVE Giles and Mary, but why does Craig Cash always refer to them as 'Giles...and his wife Mary?' Even if it's Mary that's making a point, she always comes second. AIBU to think it should, sometimes be 'Mary...and her husband Giles?'

It's not the same as the early series. They're very conscious of the cameras now.

In last night's episode the Malone's son sort of stifled his yawn into his chest, another example of them being aware of the cameras.

Re the wallpaper and matching fabric, it was very much a thing in the 80s. Laura Ashley still do matching paper and fabric. As kids we had it matching from Laura Ashley. Never thought about it being odd tbh!

Pete and Sophie I find really unpleasant. They’re not amusing despite they thinking they are. They just come across as unkind with enormous chips on their shoulder.

And the Michaels Mum. It’s not that I don’t like her, I just wish she wouldn’t shout everything.

Great thread. I love Mary Killen. Also the three brothers- so good looking. My favs are Jenny and Lee. I do actually cry with laughter listening to them. I'd love to have friend like Lee.

They're funny but they're very politically motivated, whilst affecting not to be.

I'm so glad so many other people can't stand the brother and sister from Blackpool! So mean and unfunny. They also seem to be on it a lot. A few episodes ago they were on every "section".

Love google box. Mary and Giles are so funny. I think they can laugh at themselves which is lovely. All the families I like in there different ways. I like the brother and sister from Blackpool. They are funny. A bit sarcastic but real.

Huge Giles and Mary fans. Their humour is very dry, they are both very clever and hilarious . Love their house, and they're a bit quirky naturally. Love Marys hole in tights, she dosnt give a fiddlers elbow. And it's husband and wife banter , they'll be together for ever. He adores her .

Jenny and Lee are the best, along with the Siddiquis and Giles and Mary.

And there's an elder son of the Michaels who's turned up a few times, what an absolute looker. Not the annoying shouty one.

I like Lee and Jenny. There was an episode recently where she confessed to hiding the good biscuits in the teapot. She is unintentionally hilarious.

Apart form Junior Gogglebox, I am always flummoxed as to why the programme has never ventured north of the Border. The Scots do watch telly you know!

Giles and Mary remind me of my DF and his wife. You have to watch TV in a small room on a small TV they hide in a cabinet onna two seater very upright leather sofa. They don't really get the whole TV idea. They're posh too.
