My friend is visiting from overseas and I'm wondering if it's weird to give a uni-branded hoodie as a souvenir? That's where I go. Thanks!

Tbf i think its OK and an easy way to find writing with the place on

steff13 · 26/04/2018 02:13

I think it will be a fun souvenir.

CircleSquareCircleSquare · 26/04/2018 02:16

I think it’s sweet.
It’s one of those things lots of Americans do (I’ve had several American relatives give me college/town merch) that I think is very sweet and hospitable.

TheDogAndDogAtCrutchley · 26/04/2018 02:18

I’d like it!

College jackets/hoodies/sweaters are a big thing in the US, it would be a good choice!

PitilessYank · 26/04/2018 02:45

I would love a gift like that!

thebewilderness · 26/04/2018 02:56

It is a wonderful conversation starter in places far away.
But only if they wear hoodies.

hangry24seven · 26/04/2018 03:05

I think its odd but you know your friend best.

Nitpickpicnic · 26/04/2018 03:26

Surely you know your friend’s clothes taste well enough to know if they’d appreciate it?

If you really aren’t sure, then give it but don’t get offended if they don’t wear it, or if they pass it on.

I think generally it’s a very safe gift, if a bit impersonal.

PinotMwah · 26/04/2018 06:23

I think its OK if she wants it. Potentially a bit naff but you know her best

parrotonmyshoulder · 26/04/2018 06:29

Even if it’s not their style they can wear it in the house or garden. Good idea for a gift.
