It's tipped to be the new prince's name. I know we're all supposed to love old men's names but Arthur is just too awful.

Come on Kate & Will - you know you want to call him Milo or Ryan. Just do it!

Albert makes me think of Uncle Albert. From Only Fools And horses

19lottie82 · 26/04/2018 22:48

Phew!

WaxOnFeckOff · 27/04/2018 07:03

Charlotte and Albert is a bit hard to say together, surely the would have tried it?

BananaMilkshake13 · 27/04/2018 07:39

I think the prince will be called one of the following:
Alfred, Arthur & Albert.

They could possibly use (but think unlikely):
Alexander, Louis, Thomas, Rupert, Francis & John.

DialMforMordor · 27/04/2018 08:30

Geoffrey is also a 'royal' name. And are Lionel, Baldwin and Humphrey.

Prince Humphrey. Go on, Kate.

sunshinestorm · 27/04/2018 09:01

I'm really hoping Frederick, prince Freddie sounds sweet

MrsJayy · 27/04/2018 09:23

What is taking them so long it is going to get to the point we are past caring

Tanith · 27/04/2018 09:27

Mumsnet hasn’t yet thrashed through all the issues, researched the history and meanings of each potential choice and come to a conclusive decision.

Until that happens, they can’t possibly announce it Wink

MrsJayy · 27/04/2018 09:29

HA ! Grin

Sunafterstorm · 27/04/2018 09:35

Some of us got last the point of caring a couple of days ago. After all he is going to have the same name for the rest of his life, so it will be 'Humphrey? That's unusual.' then back to whatever you were doing.
I seem to think we thought Beatrice and Eugenie a bit outlandish at the time.

WaxOnFeckOff · 27/04/2018 09:40

I'm adding Gregory to my outside chance list of John/Jonathan, David and now Gregory.

WaxOnFeckOff · 27/04/2018 09:41

I suppose if Eugenie was allowed then Eugene is a possibility? :o

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 27/04/2018 09:43

I'm going with Bedouin or Marmoset.

ObiJuanKenobi · 27/04/2018 10:00

Are they waiting for Charles to meet him before announcing the name?

WaxOnFeckOff · 27/04/2018 10:06

Surely Charles has a phone and they could call and say "Dad, just to let you know we are calling the baby Balonz Marmaduke Elvis Barry" and then attach a photo of baby in in a mini football strip...

Job done!

The80sweregreat · 27/04/2018 10:08

Why does Charles have to see him? Poor child / what’s he done to deserve that before getting a name?

SunwheretheFareyou · 27/04/2018 10:11

So... Bonnie Prince Charlie has yet to see the baby! Even prince's have in law issues, jealousy...

So....

SunwheretheFareyou · 27/04/2018 10:14

Of course uncle Albert!! It was lost in mind but knew had old man connotations 😁😁. For goodness sake the poor kid. Although I really really like Berttie. So georgy, berttie and lottie...

The80sweregreat · 27/04/2018 10:21

I do 'sense' a big split here - I bet the Middletons prefer it when William's family are not around and they can have lots of interaction with the children and just be a normal family - do gran and grandad things with them and so on. Having royality hanging about must be a bit stressful and draining - Charles doesnt seem the warmest of people and they know his history and back story , which must make life a bit awkward at times, esp if him and his son don't get on that well and there is a 'rift' - it happens to the best of families and this lot are a bit dysfunctional. just my musings, i dont tend to read a lot about them or buy glossy mags!

DaveswifeDawn · 27/04/2018 10:36

Let's not forget Uncle Albert from Coronation Street in th'olden days when I were a lass!

LarkDescending · 27/04/2018 11:03

He is Louis Arthur Charles!

DGRossetti · 27/04/2018 11:04

Maybe they want to "reclaim Albert" Hmm

MrsJayy · 27/04/2018 11:06

Aww I just saw it Prince Louis ☺

DGRossetti · 27/04/2018 11:06

Sods law ... I checked the name hadn't been announced before I pressed "post" Grin ...

Louis Arthur Charles

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 27/04/2018 11:07

I like Louis but is it pronounced Louey or Louissss
