It's tipped to be the new prince's name. I know we're all supposed to love old men's names but Arthur is just too awful.

Charlotte and Albert is a bit hard to say together, surely the would have tried it?

I think the prince will be called one of the following:
Alfred, Arthur & Albert.

They could possibly use (but think unlikely):
Alexander, Louis, Thomas, Rupert, Francis & John.

Geoffrey is also a 'royal' name. And are Lionel, Baldwin and Humphrey.

Prince Humphrey. Go on, Kate.

Some of us got last the point of caring a couple of days ago. After all he is going to have the same name for the rest of his life, so it will be 'Humphrey? That's unusual.' then back to whatever you were doing.
I seem to think we thought Beatrice and Eugenie a bit outlandish at the time.

I'm adding Gregory to my outside chance list of John/Jonathan, David and now Gregory.

I suppose if Eugenie was allowed then Eugene is a possibility? :o

Are they waiting for Charles to meet him before announcing the name?

Surely Charles has a phone and they could call and say "Dad, just to let you know we are calling the baby Balonz Marmaduke Elvis Barry" and then attach a photo of baby in in a mini football strip...

Of course uncle Albert!! It was lost in mind but knew had old man connotations 😁😁. For goodness sake the poor kid. Although I really really like Berttie. So georgy, berttie and lottie...

I do 'sense' a big split here - I bet the Middletons prefer it when William's family are not around and they can have lots of interaction with the children and just be a normal family - do gran and grandad things with them and so on. Having royality hanging about must be a bit stressful and draining - Charles doesnt seem the warmest of people and they know his history and back story , which must make life a bit awkward at times, esp if him and his son don't get on that well and there is a 'rift' - it happens to the best of families and this lot are a bit dysfunctional. just my musings, i dont tend to read a lot about them or buy glossy mags!

Let's not forget Uncle Albert from Coronation Street in th'olden days when I were a lass!
