It's tipped to be the new prince's name. I know we're all supposed to love old men's names but Arthur is just too awful.

Come on Kate & Will - you know you want to call him Milo or Ryan. Just do it!

What’s wrong with Oliver? Nice MC name for Kate’s side? Or Thomas?

Leroy is genius.

My money is on Darnell

madeyemoodysmum · 24/04/2018 22:37

Prince Harry is really Henry so maybe baby will have a nickname.

SecretIsland · 24/04/2018 22:37

I'm keeping everything crossed that they're so sheltered they actually choose Albert Grin

Undercoverbanana · 24/04/2018 22:38

Prince Noel Liam Bonehead Guisgy McCarroll.

Mad for it.

It’s probably time I went to bed.

SenecaFalls · 24/04/2018 22:39

What’s wrong with Oliver?

Oliver Cromwell? Chopped off the head of a king? Remember him?

Wincher · 24/04/2018 22:39

I actually put £5 on Nicholas yesterday (it's my DS's name... outs self...) because I thought it was worth a punt at 50 to 1, but I had forgotten about Nicholas Witchell. Probably won't be that then!

Rainydaydog · 24/04/2018 22:42

We want him named Prince Thor (250/1). The Queen can the Grant him the title Lord of Thunder. So it will be Prince George of Cambridge, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge and Prince Thor, Lord of Thunder!
Only fair for him to have a cool name since he will probably never get to be King.

MrsDylanBlue · 24/04/2018 22:45

Harry’s last name is David which is a bit different but I doubt it will be used because of the Abdication Confused

LapdanceShoeshine · 24/04/2018 22:46

If Fergie did one good thing for the Royal Family she hunted out some unusual names from that list

Well, Victoria had a Beatrice, & Eugénie was the wife of Napoleon III, so still solid Royal names.

Zara Phillips was even more unusual - though not a princess as such of course - & I love how off-piste she & Peter Phillips have gone with theirs (Autumn being Canadian probably helps)

It would be fab if new baby could have an un-princey name but I don’t think it’s going to happen.

MrsDylanBlue · 24/04/2018 22:51

Yup - I meant under used. I think Princess Anne was allowed totally off piste as her kids are not HRH.

Whyareyoudoingthat · 24/04/2018 22:52

@Charolais ... I thought you were going to launch into a limerick there!

carriemathisonshandbag · 24/04/2018 22:52

My money is on Arthur simply because the media were right about George and Charlotte. If it were me I would use a different name simply to prove the media wrong.

Mightybanhammer · 24/04/2018 22:54

If Philip isn't used at all they will reserve it for next time- Philippa girl Philip boy.
Arthur William John?
I also have my outside bet ;)

carriemathisonshandbag · 24/04/2018 22:55

As a pp said, Princess Margaret used David, so I don't think the abdication connection is that big a deal. The Queen herself used Edward after all.

MrsDylanBlue · 24/04/2018 22:56

carriemathisonshandbag

True

Wdigin2this · 24/04/2018 23:00

Arthur is an awful name, why not James?

EmeliSandpit · 24/04/2018 23:02

Thomas Richard Henry

MrsDylanBlue · 24/04/2018 23:03

James is boring but better than Arthur

Panda81 · 24/04/2018 23:04

I’m telling you it’s Richard. The Queen will go for it as Attenborough is totes her bestie.

GrinGrinGrin

carriemathisonshandbag · 24/04/2018 23:05

Arthur is an awful name, why not James? The only reason I can think against James is the Gilbey and Hewitt connection.

There is Edward's son as well, but he is generally known by his title.

WaxOnFeckOff · 24/04/2018 23:06

John Arthur Edward (Known as Jack)

Panda81 · 24/04/2018 23:07

wrong Attenborough

Doh!!! 🙈

buttercup54321 · 24/04/2018 23:08

Not Alfie. Think of poor Alfie Evans.

Prince Stephen
Prince David
Prince Michael
Prince Bertie

Prince Richard
Prince Frederick
Prince Victor
Prince John

SoMuchToBits · 24/04/2018 23:09

In our Playmobil royal family the Duke and Duchess of Ruggington (who were married in 2011) have just had their third child. He is Prince Flavian, so maybe Flavian would be a good name... Mind you, their other two were Cornelius and Madeline, not George and Charlotte. Flavian wouldn't really go with George and Charlotte.

Fresta · 24/04/2018 23:11

I think Thomas, Benjamin or Daniel.
