Would you wear this to a public indoor pool.

Posting here for traffic.

I want to start swimming but I only have this one piece but I don't know if it's appropriate for the local swimming pool. The cut outs don't show anything but the front one is down to my belly button. I only usually swim holiday so my other option is a swim dress.

as long as your boobs dont fall out! sounds like a fashion costume so may also disappear up your rectum or go transparent.

usable costumes are only about a tenner.

Raven88 · 24/04/2018 12:12

@specialsubject I it doesn't go transparent and It's good to swim in. I've wore it a lot abroad and it's my go to. but I am worried that I'll be too exposed with the cut outs and people will be offended by it.

I would, I swim in a (bra size type) bikini at my gym pool as swimsuits don't give me the boob support

lindyhopy · 24/04/2018 12:14

If you are asking the question on here then you will also be questioning it while you are there and feel uncomfortable so buy a cheap costume that covers you up.

Hillarious · 24/04/2018 12:14

What lindyhopy just said! I was about to write the same.

If it is your favourite holiday costume, it is going to get ruined swimming regularly in it. Pool chemicals just aren't good for clothes, especially fashion swimsuits. Get a cheap "proper" swimming costume and save your fancy one for holidays.

veggiethrower · 24/04/2018 12:21

Just buy a new costume - you'll be worrying about it constantly when you are at the pool.

WomaninGreen · 24/04/2018 12:33

I can't see the pic
Are you saying you already own a swim dress? If you've got to buy something just buy a cossie.

louderthan1 · 24/04/2018 12:38

Just go and get a plain costume. If you need more support go to Sports Direct and look at Speedo or other sports brands, or get one with built in cups.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 24/04/2018 12:44

I usually swim in a bra sized tankini. I don’t have the tummy for a bikini but plenty of people wear them at my pool (at a hotel).

Purplemond · 24/04/2018 12:48

if you are wanting to start swimming regularly and can afford it i would pick up a decent swimsuit as you will get use out of it and will so much more comfortable, decathlon do cheap ones or check out tkmax or amazon for zoggs/speedo suits you can pick up one for under £20 and they last ages

Emmageddon · 24/04/2018 12:51

Buy a cheap sports cossie specifically for pool swimming, save the glamorous stuff for the beach on holiday. As other posters have said, you don't have to spend a fortune. I would imagine it is difficult to swim in a swim dress? Aren't they the cossies with an attached skirt?

VladmirsPoutine · 24/04/2018 12:54

Has anyone seen the pic yet? As a general rule if it covers your tits and vag then crack on.

DairyisClosed · 24/04/2018 12:56

Are you there to swim with cbildren/swim properly. If do get so etching that won't risk boob escapes. Otherwise it doesn't matter.

Ohmydayslove · 24/04/2018 12:56

Can’t see pic.

Generally nobody is looking at anyone else in s pool though op so I am sure no one will give a crap.

NoSquirrels · 24/04/2018 12:57

Buy a supermarket cheap one-piece, or from Decathlon or whatever. You'll feel like you fit in, and the investment will make you go more often.

I mean, it's fine to swim in whatever you like, but if you are self-conscious you'll talk yourself out of going as often, so I'd just buy a new costume to help you establish a new habit.

Dancingleopard · 24/04/2018 13:02

I’m a swimmer and always tend to just go for plain supporting ones when actually doing a work out or training

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 24/04/2018 13:05

Can't see the picture! This sort of thing?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 24/04/2018 13:11

Heaven forbid it's this one Shock

Emmageddon · 24/04/2018 13:11

I've never understood the attraction of cut out swimsuits - useless for swimming in, danger of exposure every time you get up off the sunlounger, and crazy tan lines.

BoffinMum · 24/04/2018 13:13

What's wrong with the last one? I've got one and it's my favourite. Grin

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 24/04/2018 13:18

Hmm I think it's just the orange colour that's so unflattering BoffinMum Grin
