Out of date ham... and I’m pregnant!

I’m feeling very guilty. Pretty sure I was unreasonable...

There was an almost full packet of ham in the fridge. Bb 15-04-18. Seen it midweek, meant to dispose of it. Didn’t.

Saturday night dh collected and put away groceries.

Yesterday lunch he made me a ham sandwich. Today I’ve gone to find the new ham unopened and the old ham still there. Obviously I ate it in my sandwich.

Now, I’m FINE! Totally fine. Not even a jippy tummy. So why did I have to send him a guilt inducing text?? (Complete with picture!)

I should have dumped the ham and let it go, shouldn’t I? Blush

"I should have dumped the ham and let it go, shouldn’t I?"

Yes. Now you can apologise.

I thought your shouldn't have ham because of the nitrates when you're pregnant. I might be wrong.

Sounds like a lucky escape - don't keep anything out of date when you're pregnant and be super vigilant about what you're putting in your mouth
Glad you appear to be ok - food poisoning isn't pleasant !

It's only natural to panic, but as you know, everything will be fine. Just pass it off as pregnancy hormones. :)

@captainbligh ham is definitely safe to eat when pregnant.

He apologised to me and ‘the fruits of his loins’ and I accepted on behalf of both of us! Grin

Just that moment after you send when you realise, “urgh, I’m a bit of a dick today!”
