My hero

To ask what has your dh/dp done to make you think "My Hero"? Dh has done a few, one of them was to manoeuvre a large armchair from the lounge up the stairs (on his own) to the bedroom, so that I could just slip out of bed and breastfeed in comfort. I had a bad back and couldn't get comfy in bed. Couldn't believe it when I saw the armchair coming through the bedroom door!

Leggere I hit a patch of water in heavy rain, aquaplaning, spun the car one and a half times and came to a stop up the grass verge in bedded in some trees. The trees actually stopped us going back down into the traffic.

I've since found out that the section of road is notorious for aquaplaning accidents. I was cleared as not at fault by the police, and the road has since been relayed / repaired / changed.

We were damn lucky to walk away from it.

Haha, you need to just repeatedly nudge him until he continues Grin

I once had a wasp in my hair and dh put his hand between the wasp and my head so if it stung it would sting his hand and not my head. TBF he's done some shit stuff too. He once complained of a headache when I was in labour!

For looking after me so well in this pregnancy - through hyperemesis and other ups and downs he has really been quite remarkable and I love him .

I broke my ankle and my husband rented a knee scooter for me to use, and he built a ramp from the lounge to the kitchen (there was a step) so I could zip into the kitchen, fill up my scooter basket and zip back to the lounge. Smile Made my life so much easier.

I like how the OP says no one on mn has anything nice to say about men but calls her dp a “hero” for moving some furniture

For goodness sake, the op wrote that obviously no one on MN had anything nice to say about men as a jokey bump because her original OP had gone unanswered for 9½ hours!

My DH does loads and loads of lovely stuff. He works much longer hours than me and is off work today - he has just done the ironing and put the washing away while I have done sod all.

My husband is great in pretty much every way, but he's not my hero.

Balloon, that's my favourite pastime, doing sod allGrin mimi, that's going above and beyond. Isn't he thoughtful? Hope the ankle's mended ok.
