I'm in Oz. It's nighttime now...I've had period pain all day and now it's evening I want cake!

All I have is the following

Eggs
Plain floud
Baking powder
Sugar
Oil
Vanilla essence
Cocoa

No cream no butter no jam :(

I want something nice.....waaah.

Could you make this without the icing?

Something like this? I know it says self-raising flour but you can use 2.5 to 3 teaspoons of baking powder plus plain flour instead.

If you have milk or skim milk powder, brown sugar and cornflour you can make mock cream;
Thicken a pint of milk with the cornflour, add a dessertspoon of brown sugar and a dollop of vanilla.

Or cocoa and vanilla custard.

Then make something simple like rock buns and have them with the cream or custard.

Have a look on the BBC website under "Food", in the recipe finder tap in "cake with oil" and quite a few recipes come up, some chocolate, some vanilla. I think you could substitute one oil for another, what ever you have. Cake Cake Cake
