Don’t want to dripfeed so I’ll cut to the chase! My 2 year old has eczema, asthma and food allergies, these all go hand in hand apparently! She often gets swollen glands, our GP isn’t concerned as there is always a reason for them!
She currently has a swollen gland behind her ear and over the last hour the side of her face (the side of the swollen gland) has went really red! Not a blotchy rash but a deep red and purple looking rash in places. I’m quite conceded. I don’t know if it’s delayed food allergy reaction or if it’s to do with her swollen gland. Would it be U to phone 111 or just wait until the morning??
( Idunno how to upload pics or I would upload one! First time poster)

I would call 111.

I would give 111 a call. They will be able to advice you the best course of action and hopefully help put your mind at ease

No YWNBU to phone 111 for a medical concern.

Fruitcorner123 · 19/04/2018 22:54

What you have described sounds like something I would phone 111 for.

savagebaggagemaster · 19/04/2018 22:54

Phone 111 for some advice and hopefully reassurance.

SadTrombone · 19/04/2018 22:55

111 definitely

Soulcakequack · 19/04/2018 22:57

Honestly I’d probably go to A &E, if it’s a reaction to food or nasty infection it needs seeing sooner than later.

Sundaysparkle · 19/04/2018 22:59

Thanks everyone! I've given her some piriton on the of chance it's a delayed reaction, but I will phone 111 if it doesn't resolve with it!

I'd call 111 that's what they are there for. Hope you LO gets well soon

Sundaysparkle · 19/04/2018 23:52

Thanks so much for all your responses! Piriton resolved whatever was going on, and it's pretty much back to normal aside from a few little scratch marks!
Tried to post pictures earlier, but wouldn't let me as I'm a new member...long time lurker though BlushWink
