To have the burning rage within me when someone eats or drinks whilst you're talking to them on the phone!

My DM and DF do this, I'll call them and they tell me that they're happy I called etc. Then the crunching noises will happen, my DF eating a bag of crisps whilst talking to me on the phone! I ask him to stop but he ignores it and I admit I have hung up on him before because I couldn't bare to listen to it anymore.

Next my DM drinking and not just a sip she has a whole glass and all I hear is 'gulp gulp gulp...' it gives me the rage but they don't listen, every time it's either crunching or gulping.

I can't be the only one who wants to scream at this?

I despise the sound of eating and drinking. I'd hang up every time.

I CANNOT STAND IT!!! My DM and DF do this and it drives me nuts, it's disgusting. The bloody gulping and chomping noises. FFS! I put the phone down and they ring back when they're finished eating etc.

YABU. If anyone rings me at lunchtime I will answer with crisps in my mouth.

YANBU. A friend called me the other day, chewing and lip smacking RIGHT INTO THE FUCKING MICROPHONE. Apparently it was a Kit Kat. He took another bite and I hung up.
I've also been know to tell off my XH and family members for eating on the phone to other people. It's rude.
The sound of loud eating makes me irrationally angry anyway but when it's amplified right into my ear it's 10 times worse. Angry

You should count yourself lucky, my mate carries on a phone conversation while on the toilet 😳

Sciurus83 · 20/04/2018 12:00

Oh god it's disgusting. I can't stand eating noise, it's just the height of rudeness on the phone. I've heard my colleague do this with customers, gulping a large glass of water and she drinks like a horse. Awful.
