ie girls in their teens and 20s caked in heavy stage like make up with extremely heavy eyeshadow and false lashes- for during the day as well ! Wonder how long this trend will last..

The saddest thing is, when I watch makeup tutorials that end with the girl plastering on full-coverage foundation......I always think they look nicer before.

They both look absolutely beautiful and radiant before, but completely fake and drag-queen like afterwards! What a waste of time, foundation, money, brushes.....

They are both wedding makeup - I was looking for "natural" wedding makeup tutorials last week for my wedding. They are both ridiculously heavy though, not what I was looking for!

Most "looks" in tutorials are pretty much like this though. Even the "natural, light" tutorials still have primer, concealer, foundation, powder, bronzer, blusher and highlighter on the face. No thanks! I want the groom to actually recognise me.....

I think I'm just so averse to foundation because to me it feels like wearing a mask, and hiding my real skin. I get that for some people with acne, blemishes or skin conditions that is the idea!

Yolo you would need all that primer and powder to keep your makeup in place and photo ready all day which is what the wedding tutorials are aiming for but if you want something light and natural just look at normal tutorials like the ones on Beauty and the Boutique, they might be more suitable as I know she does one using just three products.

I was at a function recently and there was a young girl plastered in the wrong colour foundation. It had almost a green tinge. I couldn't understand how her Mum or friends ( who were there also ) couldn't gently suggest an alternative.

I also have a relative who is completely plastered in orange stuff. People usually say 'oh you met X. Did you see her orange face ? '
Again we don't know why her nearest and dearest - dds -haven't suggested a change.

I'm wondering when the obsession with massive lips is going to end. Hmm
