Absolutely realise AIBU not the place for this but as title suggests, SN not had single response and clock is ticking!

Some friends of mine are coming to London from abroad from 26th April to 11th May and have just discovered that their son's nanny's visa application has been declined. Their son is a gorgeous little man with cerebal palsy and we are looking for anyone who has experience of working with young people with PEG feeding and fluctuating muscle tone due to CP eg knowing what to do if he goes stiff and being strong enough to manage him having no head or trunk control. The main roles though would be playing and reading with him which he loves! most days we are here we would want help from 4-10pm, and then a few extra hours on the Saturday 28th and May 5th. This is all quite specific I know but praying someone lovely with the right experience sees this and answers our prayers!

Does anyone have a clue where to start? In touch with SNAP, childcare.co.uk, local forums...so far no joy - anyone know of an appropriate superhero or where to find one?! xxxx

Have you heard of Norland? I think it's a college which gives degrees to nannies. They have an agency service - I heard of them through a friend who had contacted them for support after a bereavement and they sounded they're incredibly well trained. They might have someone suitable to help?

If I was free then I’d do it! My little brother has CP and I’ve babysat him for years. I’ve been doing PEG feeds since I was 13

I would suggest contacting local special schools as they may have teaching assistants with experince of PEG / CP who would be available after school hours (possibly 2 TAs could share the hours). I know that the TAs at my sons school often taken on additional work out of school hours.

Contact Chailey Heritage school in Sussex, it's a special needs school for those with physical disabilities. I know some of the staff and they are lovely. They may be able to put you into contact with any agencies/staff that could help you. Worth a try anyway.

Try contacting the Speech & Language dept at City University. A student SLT might do it. They used to send us job emails like this all the time.
