Seriously are men thick or do they just not listen and think about what they are doing?

Seriously pissed off with DH. Needed 3 things for tea: Cooked Salmon flakes, jacket spuds and creme fraiche.

He came back with Malteser Easter Eggs, chocolate eclairs, egg custards, cookies, ice cream, baby new potatoes, Raw Salmon fillets and FEMFRESH!!!

AIBU to be pissed off at

  1. All the crap he's bought
  2. He didn't get any of the 3 things I wanted.
  3. He thinks I actually use FEMFRESH!!

Obviously misheard crime fraiche as femfresh but surely you'd know if your wife uses it?

RedPandaMama · 17/04/2018 23:21

Amazing! Did he hear 'creme fraiche' as 'fem fresh' by any chance? Or is he trying to subtly tell you something GrinGrinGrin

DarkPeakScouter · 17/04/2018 23:21

Send him back- with a list this time, and a receipt to return the unwanted items. Problem solved. He’ll be more careful next time.

Weezol · 17/04/2018 23:22

Is he doing it badly on purpose so you won't ask him again?

MrsTerryPratchett · 17/04/2018 23:22

I prefer his list. Except for the femfresh. But the eclairs I approve of.

expatinscotland · 17/04/2018 23:23

Sounds like deliberate incompetence. Send him back.

blackteasplease · 17/04/2018 23:23

So many things to say about the femfresh! Wouldn't he have noticed, why does he think you might be daft enough to use it, has he secretlt been putting femfresh in his cooking all this time? Shock

ElderflowerWaterIsDelish · 17/04/2018 23:25

Grin two words..... online shopping

It's a Godsend , you can pick everything you need and it gets brought right to your door (and you don't end up with all the extras like what your husband brought you )

Grin does your husband know what femfresh is actually for?

WorraLiberty · 17/04/2018 23:27

Why would 'men' be thick just because your husband appears to be unable to complete a simple task? Confused

I'm impressed he managed to find anywhere that still sells Easter eggs halfway through April though.

Surely that deserves a Star Wink

qwertyuiopy · 17/04/2018 23:28

What is Femfresh?

goes to google

Betsy86 · 17/04/2018 23:28

Lol that tickled me op. Sorry about crap effort but yay to eclairs....

Hogtini · 17/04/2018 23:28

Take it as a compliment, he thinks your fanjo is freshly scented hence you must use femfresh !

UrsulaPandress · 17/04/2018 23:29

LTB

qwertyuiopy · 17/04/2018 23:29

WorraLiberty Selling off Lindt ones at Waitrose 45p!

WorraLiberty · 17/04/2018 23:30

Oooh I'm an Asda woman. That's obviously why I didn't spot them Grin

fumming · 17/04/2018 23:30

I like femfresh. It's very mild and doesn't irritate my lower parts. Or should I say vulva as we are Mumsnet after all.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 17/04/2018 23:31

FemFresh in place of creme fraiche sounds like a particularly inept online supermarket shop substitution!

C0untDucku1a · 17/04/2018 23:32

Send him back!

FannyFifer · 17/04/2018 23:32

Ha ha at FemFresh. 😂

Fruitcorner123 · 17/04/2018 23:52

Seriously are men thick

Are you suggesting the whole male population are thick because your DH has done something a bit silly.

Either 1. He deliberately got it wrong so you won't ask him to go again

  1. He thought that new pots and salmon fillets were close enough and misheard creme fresh.
  2. He wanted to piss you off.
  3. He is thick

As for the chocolate that would have gone down quite well in my house tonight

BackforGood · 18/04/2018 00:02

YAB incredibly U to conclude from your dh's incompetence that men are "thick or do they just not listen and think about what they are doing?"
My ds does our weekly shop perfectly capably.

JaneJeffer · 18/04/2018 00:09

Grin I cried laughing at this.
