to expect more in regards to my care during pregnancy?

Not sure if I'm being unreasonable or expecting too much as I have never been had a baby before... I'm currently 10+5, had my midwife appointment on Thursday last week. I had previously had two early scans due to bleeding. The first EPAU I went to booked me in for my 12 week scan whilst I was there. Midwife phoned me to book my scan a few days later and told me to book in nearer my home address if I like, so I booked in to the closest antenatal unit near me. I then had my booking appointment at which point she decided to cancel the scan and book it for the hospital I chose to give birth at. Thing is I've now had a letter through the post for a scan at a different hospital. I contacted her about it today and she said she clicked the wrong button and picked the wrong one. So we now have to cancel, again and book a new appointment! I'm 11 weeks on Friday, and fairly sure they're not going to get the appointment out to me that quickly... I've been given a form to go and get my bloods taken at a hospital 25 miles away from me because this is apparently nearest the hospital I would like to give birth in (which is only around 10 miles from my house). Midwife won't answer my calls even though GP said she's been working the past two days. Suffering from severe anxiety and would like to know what's going on, if my scan is booked, whether I can go and get my bloods done on the same day as the scan to save two days off work and a bit of fuel etc etc.

Am I expecting far too much? All I want is to know whether I'll definitely get a scan booked before the 13+6 deadline and whether or not I can wait until I get my scan to go and get my bloods done. Really hard when midwife isn't contactable...

Anxiety central!

Uhh that sounds so frustrating. If I were you, I'd just keep on calling the midwife, GP and hospital until I got an appointment booked. Sometimes you have to be a bit of a nuisance. Good luck!

You can't get your bloods done until you have an estimated due date so try and get that scan sorted for before your bloods! My hospital the scan then the bloods straight after, could you ask if that's an option? Does your hospital have a booking line? I booked all my first appointments on my own with the hospital rather than through a midwife. Perhaps give the hospital a call directly and see if they can tell you if it's been sorted or if you can arrange it yourself?

@jaseyraex my EDD is in November and I am 11 weeks on Friday I phoned the hospital but as they haven't had a referral from the midwife they can't do anything.

@bassackwards it really is. I've had 3 scans booked and all for the wrong hospitals! So all cancelled and now waiting on a new one at nearly 11 weeks. Wasn't sure if I was moaning too much and this is just the norm....
