Which sunscreen should I be buying for my 21mo. There are so many out there I don't know where to start looking? Is there a MN holy grail? It's for an abroad holiday.

(I cant find anything recent when I search MN for this, so sorry if I'm being U posting here)

Have a quick look on amazon. There’s a doofah you can squirt the sun cream into and it’s a bit like one of those washing up things you full with soap. It’s supposed to encourage the child to ‘help’ as well.

Bumping for the evening folk 🤞🏼

I like skooshy ones. Look for one with 4 or 5 stars uva protection.

Scotsrule · 17/04/2018 19:02

I liked the roll on ones ( like roll on deo) for my DS when he was little; no mess, dead easy to use and Superdrug had them on BOGOF - win win!

Also don’t spend tons on fancy names! Just check for a 5 star uva

I use a face stick so it doesn't get in his eyes as he tries to get away then an aerosol for body.

villainousbroodmare · 17/04/2018 19:04

Using Eucerin 50+ on fairskinned toddler DS in South Africa. Just be very sparing on the forehead (or skip the forehead and nail on a hat) as that's how it ends up in their eyes.

I found (and still do even with older kids) that an aerosol spray is the way to go as it is quick to spray them even if they are running away. You still need to do their face though and for school / childcare I use a longer acting cream instead.

The thing @singlebutmarried described is called a solarbuddy and really good.

Selenium · 17/04/2018 19:08

Sunsense roll on suncream is really good and easy to use. Really hypoallergenic too. You can get it from Amazon.

Be careful with the waterproof stuff, my two put hand prints on the shiny new car, and they wouldn’t ever disappear 😀

I just ordered a solarbuddy today. Had my eye on it for a while and thought it would be great for my daughter as she likes to do it herself. Hope it's as good as the reviews
