Now I know we love a good wedding debate...

I got married in 2004 and we had a stupid amount of guests to the day time, you know the type, cant forget to invite great uncle Fred etc.

Anyway, since then, we have not been invited to three weddings (of family) as "they dont have space".

Should I start to take it personally

no
you are just jealous because they are cleverer than you

we picked a tiny chapel and said 'so sorry, no room' to work colleagues, distant relatives, friends of MIL etc

no, no small chapel, big country manor!

Your wedding was so good that they are intimidated. There. D'you feel better now?

LOL

Same thing happens with birday parties for little children. For years we weren't invited with the excuse "well, its a kids party and you dont have kids" but even with our 19 month old dd we dont get invited to parties!! It should save me a fortune on pressies etc but I still end up buying!

We do shower, honest!!
