After my work colleague has basically just thrown away some yummy Coconut and Raisin WB due to incorrect temp milk, I am shocked how they and apparently other fellow colleagues eat their Weetabix Wink Shock

So m'netters...how do you eat yours....with Hot milk or Cold milk?

Ill tell you my preference later lol

(And no, i'm not a journo!)

Neither. It's disgusting either way. Bland and tasteless like baby food. runs and hides

SaltyPeanut · 17/04/2018 19:11

Ah...my favourite food in the world.

Golden syrup Weetabix in a big bowl.
Topped with generous amount of Onken full fat plain yogurt.
A very light flecking of Billingtons demerara sugar.
Tip the bowl and pour ice cold full fat milk down the side off the bowl so it just hits the first Weetabix on its bottom side.
Wait half a minute for the milk to begin to soak in and scoff first biscuit while it's soft on the underside, crunchy on top with the hit of creaminess from the yogurt.
Pour a little more milk down the side and repeat for next Weetabix.

Tis my morning ritual and I don't care what anybody else in the whole world thinks.

(I did go through a short period of shoving sliced banana on top but that came to an abrupt end when I was left rolling around in gut based agony one morning before the most forceful erm....evacuation of my life)

The idea of hot milk on any cereal makes me want to vomit. DH concurs although the sick fucker will eat porridge...urgh...vom.

I like it hot or cold with sugar but definitely have a preference for hot. It’s more . . . comforting.

Littledrummergirl · 17/04/2018 19:14

Another one here with butter.

acornsandnuts · 17/04/2018 19:17

Cold milk, but also butter and jam has just brought back childhood supper memories.

ilovekitkats · 17/04/2018 19:33

I always eat it with cold milk, but DD now prefers it with hot milk after XH gave it to her that way.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 17/04/2018 19:34

Always hot - couldn't imagine eating them with cold milk

TalkFastThinkSlow · 17/04/2018 19:36

Hot milk, plenty of sugar

Internaljukebox · 17/04/2018 19:37

Cold milk, sprinkle of sugar, leave for 2 mins and mix.. can’t stand it crunchy.

Scotstar · 17/04/2018 19:39

Ice cold milk and eaten straight away so it doesn't get soggy.

I used to know someone who buttered them and ate them like a cracker

fcekinghell · 17/04/2018 19:44

hot, heated in the microwave

I don't understand how anyone can eat it cold, the very thought makes me feel sick

DramaAlpaca · 17/04/2018 19:45

Always cold milk, straight from the fridge. No sugar, I find them plenty sweet enough.

DS dips dry Weetabix in a mug of milk so they don't go soggy & nibbles them like a biscuit.

HelenaJustina · 17/04/2018 19:53

Cold milk, no sugar. But couldn’t tell you the last time I ate one.

One of the DC has them with hot milk in the winter, still no sugar.

Poshjock · 17/04/2018 20:12

I am ridiculously ritualistic about my weetabix. I eat it very regularly and I am the only person who can make it for me.

Skimmed milk in bowl. Heat in micro until warm -not hot. Put two biscuits in bowl and sprinkle a little Splenda over. Eat immediately.

Too much milk and the biscuits disintegrate. Too little and they become sticky like glue. I like to eat them when the milk just starts to soften them but there’s still a little crunch.

It’s the only way and how my made it for me as a toddler (except it was full milk and sugar back then!)

firstnamecraplastnamebag · 17/04/2018 20:48

Butter on weetabix 🤢

ForalltheSaints · 17/04/2018 22:02

Cold milk

tinkerbellax · 17/04/2018 22:05

Hot with sugar. It's the only way to have weetabix Grin

edwinbear · 17/04/2018 22:10

Hot milk - obviously!!!

Katescurios · 17/04/2018 22:15

Cold with sugar.

Can't believe other people at with butter, we had that as a post school snack so the time as kids. whenever I've mentioned it to another adult they've liked at me like a madwoman.

Had to be real salted butter not marg though!

camelliasinensis · 17/04/2018 22:19

Cold, with milk & lots of sugar.
It's never crossed my mind to have it with hot milk on

BonnieF · 17/04/2018 22:39

Very cold. I put the weetabix & bowl in the fridge overnight to make sure it’s properly cold. If I want a hot bowl of cereal, I have porridge.

Lukewarm milk is revolting.

essietopcoat · 17/04/2018 22:55

Hot - 1 min on full power in the microwave, and 1/2 a tsp brown sugar added.

And it's got to be the right amount of milk so there's a little bit that remains crispy.

user1496146479 · 17/04/2018 22:59

Cold milk, sprinkle of sugar & left to soften!! Yum! Confused

CanIhavedessertfirst · 17/04/2018 23:07

Cold milk and sugar for me, but dh has them with warm milk and sugar (then mashes it to the consistency of porridge, while also refusing to eat porridge, because he "doesn't like the texture". My 3 year old likes them with peanut butter

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 18/04/2018 06:29

Cold milk.... here one for ya, my FIL is allergic to milk and so has his with orange juice 🙈
