After my work colleague has basically just thrown away some yummy Coconut and Raisin WB due to incorrect temp milk, I am shocked how they and apparently other fellow colleagues eat their Weetabix Wink Shock

So m'netters...how do you eat yours....with Hot milk or Cold milk?

Ill tell you my preference later lol

(And no, i'm not a journo!)

Hot milk. The thought of eating it with cold makes me shudder ugh!

3stonedown · 17/04/2018 10:07

Warm because the only time I eat it is DD left overs Blush

cochineal7 · 17/04/2018 10:08

DC have it with hot milk every morning.

HardAsSnails · 17/04/2018 10:15

Cold milk, sprinkle of caster sugar. Only proper Weetabix, not these newfangled flavoured ones.

NurseButtercup · 17/04/2018 10:23

Hot milk because that's how my mom served all breakfast cereals to me as a child (cornflakes, rice Krispies, ready break, shredded wheat). And I only eat Weetabix during the colder months - I don't enjoy cold milk on breakfast cereals so I don't eat cereal very often.

Singlebutmarried · 17/04/2018 10:44

Not a fan, but, I’ve seen someone spread butter on weetabix and eat like ryvita bleugh

DioneTheDiabolist · 17/04/2018 10:53

What are you guys doing, crunching every mouthful?!

That is exactly what I am doing.Grin I won't even put 2 Weetabix in the bowl at the same time because the second one gets too soft while I'm eating the first.

Busybusybust · 17/04/2018 10:54

Butter.

CowesTwo · 17/04/2018 10:55

I never heard of eating it with hot milk, or of putting sugar on it!

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 17/04/2018 10:57

Freezing cold milk one at a time like Dione. We were in a hotel over Easter and a chap in the restaurant looked at me like I'd fully lost it when I took the extra weetabix out of the bowl and left it at the side of the plate til I'd finished the first. DH says if we ever divorce he'll use it as evidence of my unreasonable behaviour. He's a bellend; weetabix should always be crunchy.

Hot milk and sugar - childhood memories Grin

FizzyGreenWater · 17/04/2018 10:58

They're two completely different foods. Both fine, but absolutely chalk and cheese.

Sirzy · 17/04/2018 11:00

Hot milk, just enough to be absorbed into them without leaving them swimming

RatOnnaStick · 17/04/2018 11:02

Cold milk, enough to cover, not so much it turns to mush. And eaten fast for the same reason. I grew up with sugar on it but now it's just plain or occasionally with honey.

My sister eats it dry with marmite😱

steppemum · 17/04/2018 11:09

either:

cold, fresh milk, possibly with a banana sliced. Possibly with a bit of sugar. Need to allow them JUST long enough to soak so you can get your spoon in/not too hard and crunchy, but hasn't turned to mush

OR

with hot milk, just enough to soften it but keep if firm (not bowl full of milky slop) with brown sugar sprinkled over. Bit like a version or porridge. The right amount of hot milk is very hard to judge, and you need to allow it just long enough to soak.

Lukewarm, neither one nor the other is horrible.
Weetabix with other stuff in (eg raisins) , should only be eaten with cold milk!

Whenwillitgeteasier · 17/04/2018 12:23

Butter!

ShowOfHands · 17/04/2018 12:26

Hot or cold. With fruit or yoghurt or cinnamon. Depends on mood.

I can't eat them upside down though.

backsackcraic · 17/04/2018 12:27

Had mine this morning with natural fat free yogurt and raspberries!

KinkyAfro · 17/04/2018 12:28

Either ice cold or hot...lukewarm yuck

gateto · 17/04/2018 12:51

warm or hot if its plain weetabix!! every now and then i treat myself to chocolate or banana weetabix and both are repulsive warm so would need to be cold then..

SootSprite · 17/04/2018 12:55

Cold milk, and a generous helping of white granulated sugar on the top. Yum!

It’s also nice with warm milk but then it gets a generous heaping of golden syrup.

God, I want weetabix now but can’t because I’m on a diet and don’t like it without sugar or golden syrup!

TheJoyOfSox · 17/04/2018 13:09

Hot milk, then the weetabix goes all porridge-y and tastes really malty too.

Clutterbugsmum · 17/04/2018 13:38

My dad had them with butter and cheese.

happymummy12345 · 17/04/2018 13:42

Cold, can't stand hot milk. And always nice and mushy and soft. I eat mine a good few minutes after putting them in the bowl to allow the milk to soak in and soften them up

woodlanddreamer · 17/04/2018 13:46

Hot but not too much otherwise it's too mushy. Needs to stick to the roof of your mouth a little!
