I Would Hate To Lose My Wacky Dreams! (Could Do Without the Nightmares Though!)

AIBU that sometimes I can’t wait to get to bed to see what I’m going to dream that night? My dreams are either one, long “ film-like” scenario with a plot or loads of choppy, unrelated scenes. I dream every night. There are some topics that come up time and time again. Lifts, flats (often abandoned and terrifying), water and sea levels rising, huge hotels... I find there is no way to describe my dreams. It’s a “you’d have to be plugged into my head” kind of thing. David Lynch is the closest that real life has come close.

The downside are the occasional nightmares. I know now that when I have one I have to get out of bed and fully wake up before trying to sleep again or they get worse, especially when I think I’m awake and my mind plays terrifying tricks on me.

Just as bad can be waking up from the best dreams ever where I have super powers!

Does anyone else love dreaming this much or can anyone lucid dream? I have tried but it just won’t work.

Does anyone hate dreaming? My friend has the most awful night terrors.
