Petty random things that make you want to lose your shit

Colleague buys 2 bananas every Monday. Has done so ever since I've worked there (1+ year). They sit on her desk until they go bad and then get thrown away on a Friday. EVERY week. I've never seen her eat one of the damn things yet come Monday another 2 take up residence on her desk.

Otherwise she's a lovely woman and a great pal. But those bananas... just looking at them makes me ragey.

Anyone else have totally petty, pointless things that you should ignore but instead feeds the inner rage demon?

Today some people were stacking their Sainsbury trolleys (no coin required) in the Lidl (coin required) trolley bay (yes, it was specifically designed JUST for the Lidl trolleys, with clip in keychains), leaving not much room for me or anyone to clip my trolley in and get my coin back. Truthfully, I felt like punching one of them and possibly sticking them in said Sainsbury trolley and giving it a good push.

Someone chewing gum with their mouths open Angry makes my blood boil!!

Even thinking of it makes me fucking angrier than the grinch on xmas day!

DontCallMeCharlotte · 17/04/2018 17:20

The new (very nice) couple in the road who get home home earlier than I do and have "stolen" my parking space (it's not my parking space at all, it's just where I always liked to park).

I'm getting punchy even typing this!

The music in Homes Under the Hammer program. If you watch it you'll know what I mean. The presenter makes a comment about the house and then a song, a really shit song with a tenuous link suddenly plays. To think someone actually does this annoying twattery for a job annoys me more.

On this topic. I lose my shit when I see people who have gone to the effort of returning their trolley all the way to the little shed, but then just shove it in any old way/stack different types together/leave it just outside the shed.

WHY? Why can't you manage to push it that extra two steps and stack it neatly, like a civilised human being?

(In my opinion this is a worse offence than just abandoning it on the walkways)

My EXH used to say "he's acting like little Lord Forvagoo" instead of Little Lord Fauntleroy.

I had to sit on my hands. Really hard.

Nearly woke the baby laughing at this!!

Tins with ringpulls. The lids never come off smoothly meaning I have to give the last bit a yank to get the lid off completely, resulting in tomato juice splashing over my top/on the wall.

kmc1111 · 17/04/2018 17:48

I’ve ruined Homes Under the Hammer for so many people by pointing out the music. Once you notice it it’s pretty much unwatchable.

eloisesparkle · 17/04/2018 17:54

DH People who leave their dirty glass or mug IN the sink. Every time.
The dishwasher is right beside the sink.

MrsPussinBoots · 17/04/2018 18:00

People who put things in a bowl of hot water and then leave them there to soak for 12 hours +. I accidentally did that this morning and I'm really irritated now that I have to get them out of the cold greasy water and start again.

Zaphodsotherhead · 17/04/2018 18:06

I think it should really be 'about to be written again' in 'Life on Mars', rather than 'wrote' or 'writ' but that doesn't scan...

ItsASairFecht · 17/04/2018 18:08

@shotsfired

There was a lady behind me, with a Sainsburys trolley, who was on the verge of tutting at me because she couldn't get in (to the bit she wasn't even supposed to be using) because I had to move all the Sainsburys trolleys that silly people hadn't just put in the Lidl section but had pushed into the line of Lidls trolleys as it they were Lidls trolleys too...despite the bloody keychain hanging of the end of them which they clearly didn't have. If she had actually tutted at me it might well have pushed me over the edge.

Gardai · 17/04/2018 18:16

Kmc - I didn't think it was possible not to notice it Shock.
We need to start a petition.

RestingBitchFaced · 17/04/2018 18:16

I must be really annoying. I always take bananas or other fruit into work but don't eat them very often. I have fandoms tins of soup, pots of porridge left there too.

RestingBitchFaced · 17/04/2018 18:16

*random

spanky2 · 17/04/2018 18:17

People who drive under the speed limit, especially when I'm running late.
My family who put things down when they've finished with it and not put it away.

eggsandchips · 17/04/2018 18:21

When folk use the cross trainer next to me when there are loads others free.

When I'm sitting having a nice quiet coffee and a hoard of shouty people pile it.

When women shout at each other in changing rooms despite being in touching distance of each other.

Rarrrrr!!!

idobelieveinfairies86 · 17/04/2018 18:32

when dd1 and dh sit watching tv in the same room as I'm meticulously sorting the toys into the correct tubs (ie lego, pretend food, crayons, blocks, people etc etc) for 2 hours and then fucking a day later it's all fucked up again and all I get is "mum mum mum where's xyz I can't find it". I want to scream well what do you fucking expect when you just throw everything in 1 box everytime I dare to ask u to fucking tidy ur toys up"

Or "mum I need you my sheets pinged off the mattress" you can't put it back on yourself then no?

Or dh "why are you throwing all the toys in a pile for, I just tidied them up"
No you really fucking didn't shithead, you scooped them up and lobbed them Willy fucking nilly in the pissing toy box

Guess what I've been doing today.
Gosh I needed that
xx

People who park next to me despite a half empty car park with loads of spaces to choose from.

Scotstar · 17/04/2018 18:56

Defiantly instead of definitely

The80sweregreat · 17/04/2018 19:06

I hate beards. Ds1 has one and picks at it all the time! It drives me mad. Totally mad.

bobisbored · 17/04/2018 19:06

People who type "defiantly" when they mean "definitely".
DSS thunders up and down the stairs like he's being chased by a knife wielding maniac and it makes me want to be the knife wielding maniac.
When I let the dog out for a wee, he runs out barking like complete bastard just in case there are any squirrels, pigeons or cats in the vicinity!

ALongHardWinter · 17/04/2018 19:08

My exP used to keep putting the remote controls for the bedroom TV on the pillows, despite me asking him every day not to. Why? Because he would inevitably then lean on the pillow, sending the remote controls sliding down behind the pillow, through the gap and onto the floor under the bed,or getting jammed between the headboard and the wall. In the end I told him that if they slid down due to him doing this, then HE could retrieve them. He didn't seem as keen to do it then.
