To ask you how you treat aging, crepey skin around the eyes?

I know this is a beauty question, posting for traffic. I usually use Liz Earle eye cream which I like, curious to see if there is a wonder cream that works better for maturing skin. Currently considering wearing paper bag.....Grin

Don't forget to make the eye holes in the bag small enough so you can see out, but no-one can see your crepey droopy eyes.

The Sisley eye cream is magical but unbelievably expensive. Worth it if you have the money though!

In terms of covering it up, use a good primer (I like the mac moisturising one) and then a nice creamy concealer. The best one imo is the Nars one but i have also heard good things about tarte shape tape. You want a shade that's one or two lighter than your natural skin tone. Blend on a good layer of this and then use a damp makeup sponge to add a LOT of loose setting powder (I like Laura mercier) - you'll have thick white powder stripes below your eyes. Leave on for 5 mins and then use a fluffy brush to brush off the excess. then add your normal foundation and a second thin layer of setting powder. You'll have totally bright and crepe free eyes Smile.

Watching with interest as I too am “maturing” in that area Grin
I would not be against a little aesthetic treatment for the area but I know Botox isn’t suitable and I don’t think you can put fillers in there. What else could I do???

No advice but watching!

I treat mine with a Zen-like equanimity.

In ten years time you'll look back at how young you look now.

Just live! Do you think men worry about this stuff? Be so busy and active and in love with life that you only have time to rinse your well worn well weathered beautiful face in cold water before getting on with the next thing.

TenancyTroublesAgain · 16/04/2018 11:43

@joystir59 of course men can worry about this stuff.

DeltaRomeo · 16/04/2018 11:46

Thanks all; joystir, I don't care what men/other people think about my eyes but I care! Other women my age seem to have tighter eye skin. Doesn't help that because of long-sightedness I now need glasses so able to see the problem areas better. Suppose I could just not look....Grin

Tit tape, all around your eyes. If you can be bothered to trim it so you get a rounded shape it's better, but I don't bother.
