Now feminism has disappeared from active, I thought it might be useful to start a meta thread on here where people can link to threads on feminism they wanted to draw to the wider attention.

Such as:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3222459-Justine-stands-up-for-FWR-in-The-Times

Ohforfoxsake - you have to opt into the special needs boards anyway, otherwise they won't appear in active. However, I think there is a glitch somewhere, because for a few if us they aren't appearing in active, even when you have opted in.

Technically doesn't this thread come under the category of a TAAT?

0phelia · 15/04/2018 11:37

FWR chat is back in active as of tomorrow so this thread won't be needed.
Well done all

WillowWept · 15/04/2018 11:41

Many posters, including those that are responsible for contributing to a lot of content across the whole site, found their way to the feminist boards through active convos.

Many women don't know what is happening regarding the erosion of female rights. For every one woman that comes on to FWR to tell posters they're transphobic bigots there are many more expressing appreciation for highlighting the issues and admitting that a few months back they'd been liberal "live and let live" types because they had no idea what was happening.

As opheilia said - It'll be back in active tomorrow

Well it was a nice little holiday, but all good things must come to an end I suppose. I look forward to the active list being 75% trans bullshit again.

busyboysmum · 15/04/2018 19:07

Oh that's great news. Well done MNHQ. I've gone from loving quirky trans characters like the hairdresser in A New Life in the Sun to realising the majority of TAs are aggressive dangerous men. That's via Twitter not mumsnet I hasten to add. I think the lovely trans people are getting swamped by a Men's Rights movement that seems to really hate women. Unfortunately these people cannot be allowed in women's private spaces. Which is a damn shame for the lovely trans people and I'm not sure where we go from here TBH.

Strugglingtodomybest · 15/04/2018 21:06

But how many other users like me, have ended up being interested in feminist chat, because they clicked on a link from active?
Me!

Why don't you hide it?

Coveredinbeeeeeeeeeeeees

You sound like a transphobic. You only like to hear from the "male lesbians" and cross dressers, not the trans people with gender dysphoria who are concerned about self-identity legislation?

You don't want to read their views?
