I like Nescafé gold blend.

Aldi java or Peruvian, made in a cafetiere, black. The most important thing is not to leave it too long in the pot - add water, stir, wait about 30 seconds, then pour.

Instant - was RELIGIOUSLY a Carte Norie drinker until the bastards discontinued it (L’Or is NOT the same, the L’Or intense is the closest to the original though, L’Or Gold is cack).

At one time I would not even entertain Nescafé products, but now am really liking Nescafé Alta Rica, but only this - I don’t like any of the others they do.

Real coffee. I try and like (or sometimes dislike) all of them, will try any, but tend to go for “Bold, intense, dark, chocolatey” types as opposed to “Fruity, aromatic, mild” types.

Dowe Egberts gold

llangennith · 15/04/2018 06:27

Wish I liked coffee.

BuggerLumpsAnnoyed · 15/04/2018 06:36

I have either Monmouth coffee or pact coffee on a stove top.

BuggerLumpsAnnoyed · 15/04/2018 06:38

And we have nesspresso at work

Minniemountain · 15/04/2018 07:31

Hot Lava Java using an Aeropress. I take a thermos of it into work too.

SeaSeeker · 15/04/2018 07:37

I use Lyon's coffee bags at home after I read about them on a thread here

UnaOfStormhold · 15/04/2018 07:44

Aldi beans (Italian for preference) in the bean-to-cup. Lavazza ground decaf when needed.

I avoid instant unless it's a choice between that and lipton tea made with non-boiling water!

TheClaws · 15/04/2018 07:46

apparently lots of people prefer instant to ground coffee which surprises me

You’re surprised that different people like different things? Hmm

I like both a really good instant and a hot flat white (that’s just a latte with a bit less milk and froth). I think sometimes ground coffee can be a little strong and/or bitter for some instant drinkers.

MrsMonkeyBear · 15/04/2018 08:01

Depends on what's on offer at the supermarket. We flit between Tesco Barista Style instant and the main Whole bean instant ones.

We have a Dolce Gusto machine as well but only use that when we have guests.

DH works for one of the big coffee chains so occasionally I send him to work with my thermos to bring me back a coconut milk latte.

SoozC · 15/04/2018 08:02

I love coffee. At home I always have Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Tanzanian Moshi Community Fairtrade Sundried Peaberry coffee beans, hand ground and pressed through an Aeropress with frothy milk.

When I'm out, though, it depends what I'm near. I can drink a Caffè Nero latte but don't really like Starbucks or Costa. McDonald's cappuccino is alright at a push, Greggs isn't so good.

Chocrock · 15/04/2018 08:25

Columbian. Made in a stove top. Black Monday to Friday. Cappuccino on a weekend Smile

BakedBeans47 · 15/04/2018 08:30

Whatever random coffee beans are on offer at the supermarket.

I only drink instant at work although I find Starbucks instant quite nice.

GinUser · 15/04/2018 08:35

At home in bean to cup machine I have Jamaican Blue Mountain when flush, otherwise a Java bean. At work I get coffee from the independent cafe in the office. Until 1 st April hot drinks in the office were free, but now you have to pay. As there is no improvement in the quality I still go down to the cafe. Only 1 cup per day.
I have never set foot over the threshold of a Starbucks, Costa or the like.

SerenDippitty · 15/04/2018 08:49

Morrison’s Guatemalan or Lavazza instant at home, Azzera at work. I like both instant and fresh, I see them as different drinks and sometimes an instant is just what I fancy.

Doobydoo · 15/04/2018 08:53

Lavazza red stove top.and sometimes Machu Picchu.
