I like Nescafé gold blend.

I used to have a subscription to Pact but in an effort to save money I tried some Aldi coffee - it's a single origin one in a black and green bag - I think it might be Ethiopian? I liked it enough to cancel the Pact subscription. I mostly use a stovetop pot but sometimes an aeropress.

At work I use the coffee machine to make an americano. They use Cafe Direct beans in the machines at work and it's drinkable.

Never ever instant, I can't stand the stuff. If there was only instant available I'd have a cup of tea instead. They have Gold Blend at work for the instant fans - apparently lots of people prefer instant to ground coffee which surprises me.

DontFundHate · 14/04/2018 21:26

I love lidls decaf

Surprised by how many people buy Nestle, please consider boycotting.

I buy from a company called Black Rifle.

Sitranced · 14/04/2018 21:28

Bulletproof

expatmigrant · 14/04/2018 21:54

Illy...black.
I do not like instant
But my DH drinks Nescafe Gold Blend

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 14/04/2018 21:56

Lidl ground in my stove top espesso maker

I actually prefer it to lavazza now

lettuceWrap · 14/04/2018 21:57

Organic rainforest blend beans, ground fresh for each jug of coffee. We buy them by the car boot full from Costco, they do great prices on coffee beans.
We really like our coffee Grin

I got my first bean to cup machine years ago (it was a Gaggia but it was a bit rubbish and eventually died). Replaced it with a Delonghi bean to cup which is amazing. The only problem is that when I’m away from home I really miss proper coffee and physically cannot drink instant any more, it’s so gross.

Mostly use the Waitrose Italian beans, although sometimes buy from a little roasting place locally. The beans from Ikea are actually really good, and excellent value, so I stock up when I go!

TammySwansonTwo · 14/04/2018 21:58

I only had a pod machine coffee once - it had awful long life milk, absolutely bloody hideous.

GemmaB78 · 14/04/2018 22:02

Aldi/lidl French blend in a stove-top espresso maker. Great tasting coffee at a really good price. Can't stand instant!

Grenoble124 · 14/04/2018 22:02

Nespresso Indriya. Two pods and some water to make an Americano then a drop of milk.

Uniglo18 · 14/04/2018 22:02

Tesco Decaf Italian Blend medium strength atm. I've got a bag of Costa Rican decaf in the cupboard for when the Italian blend runs out. I can't drink instant coffee, it always tastes metallic to me.

HundredMilesAnHour · 14/04/2018 22:05

I don't drink instant.

At home I use a bean-to-cup machine and make espresso/flat white/latte/long black. When I travel, I take my V60 with me usually (and ground Hunkute coffee from Workshop Coffee). I have a monthly bean subscription with Dept of Coffee & Social Affairs (the beans vary each month), and I supplement this with occasional purchases of East Blend beans from Nude Espresso (these are my absolute favourite beans!!) or Ten Bells beans from Allpress. I'm picky about my beans - if they were roasted more than 6 weeks ago, I won't consider them. I'm lucky that I have several excellent micro-roasteries (such as the aforementioned Nude Espresso) within working distance from my home. I'm afraid that does mean that some people would class me as a pretentious coffee-drinking east London tw*t. Wink

Taffeta · 14/04/2018 22:07

Whatever wanky beans Ocado have on offer that are espresso strength 5
Grind them myself & then stovetop pot

Also like Nescafé Espresso as an instant weaker coffee

blinkineckmum · 14/04/2018 22:12

Avezzo

HarshingMyMellow · 14/04/2018 22:15

Depending on my mood I'll drink;

  • Beanies Instant Coffee (Irish Cream, Gingerbread or Vanilla Bean flavoured)
  • Littles Coconut Infused Coffee.
Or Nescafé Gold Blend Barista Style.

I've just ordered a cafetière, so this thread is really helpful!

HarshingMyMellow · 14/04/2018 22:16

Fully prepared to be flamed for my choices.

I think London has quite a serious coffee culture these days.

I drink monmouth coffee made in an aeropress. I tend to go to coffee shops that have fresh roasted, freshly ground atomic strength coffee.

Regingaphalange · 15/04/2018 02:02

I have a Tassimo machine but I prefer and daily drink Douwe Egberts

AliDran · 15/04/2018 02:18

Iilly red. I have a cafetiere at work as well as at home, as i really don't like instant.

happymummy12345 · 15/04/2018 02:37

None. Can't stand the stuff in any form, don't even like the smell on dh. Give me my standard tea, normal Tetley's, not too strong, green milk, no sugar or sweetener.

chatwoo · 15/04/2018 02:45

I don't drink instant, and have a strong / hot flat white on the way to work each day. We have a cafetiere, stove top pot and the metal Vietnamese drip filters - but rarely use them, as we live opposite a cafe and my partner will drink instant if he's not bothered to do anything else.

HoomanMoomin · 15/04/2018 02:50

Taylor’s Lazy Sunday. I’ve searched for it so much on google that after typing Tay my phone offered me its full name. Grin
Lidl does decent alternative, but it’s not much cheaper, so I’m just buying the real stuff.

LinoleumBlownapart · 15/04/2018 02:53

Coffee from our farm. Not as fancy, but very fresh.

Procrastination4 · 15/04/2018 03:00

French Press: Bergin (an Irish company of coffee roasters) Aikenhead’s beans or ground, Nespresso Dulsao/Volluto/Arpeggio/Capriccio;
At work -whatever instant is there, so long as it isn’t Maxwell House, but it’s just a hot drink to accompany my sandwich or whatever-not much of a taste or kick from it!
