Court case tomorrow and Barrister not coming

Friend going through divorce she has suffered emotional and financial abuse as well as domestic violence and sexual assault.

Solicitor promised she would explain what the court proceedings would be about before she went on holiday last Friday and said she hadhired a female barrister. Friend because of the abuse cant speak to men.

Friend was yesterday diagnosed with PTSD and trauma she is also dyslexic and has had a brain injury caused by stbexh running her over and is permanently disabled .

She calls the solicitor at 2 pm today only to find out that the female barrister isn't coming to the court tomorrow so they have hired a male barrister.

Friend is in a state she doesn't know which way to turn.

Anyone know what she can do in this sort of situation. I think friend is near to collapse.

The Barrister was lovely and really put her at ease and at the end she asked if he could come to the next hearing.

dinosaursandtea No I don't think she missed anything because her solicitor had specifically said she would go over things with her then refused to talk to her about anything but her bill.

The last time she met with her solicitor. Friend said she came out feeling bullied.
Solicitor had shouted at her because of the size of the bill but friend said she knew she couldn't pay her till the end.
There is nothing friend can do all of her friends are helping out as much as we can by stocking her fridge and freezer as at first she was using the food bank and taking her out for coffee. He has left her with nothing.

Glad to hear the barrister was helpful, although the solicitor shouting at her sounds very unprofessional.
