I was told this today by someone wearing so much polyester she'd ignite if she ran upstairs too fast.

I have a Little Mix one I got at their concert in November. I am nearly 30 Grin

Although I do only wear it when lounging around the house!

I have a Clash t shirt I still wear. Bought it in the eighties at their gig in Brixton.

Middleoftheroad · 11/04/2018 21:16

T-shirts don't suit me yet I love music.

A few years ago Top Shop of all shops were stocking a very flattering Joy Division vest top, so I bought one as finally a music top that suits - even though Ian Curtis is probably turning in his grave.

I love JD and New Order and see Peter Hook several times a year, but ever since one of 1D (sorry, don't know all of the names but it wasn't Harry) were wearing a similar JD T people assume I'm wearing it to be trendy (I'm 45!) or a big 1D fan. Blush

I’m wearing my Harry Styles gig t shirt right now 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m definitely older than his target audience.

I can't mock what she wears because I believe in wearing what you want. It is shit though Wink
I was surprised she even knew it was a band tshirt but as my friend pointed out, there was a bloke smashing a guitar on it which sort of gave it away.

At 41 you are old enough to wear what you want and say fuck off to anyone who is less than complementary.

I still have all my Iron Maiden , Metallica and AC/DC t shirts from the late 80’s , which I found last summer in the last of the moving boxes from 12 years ago that we still haven’t quite finished . I managed to wear them once before they mysteriously started disappearing and getting located in DS2’s bedroom (tbf he does like their music ) . Apparently he was getting great kudos from his mates for finding such ‘vintage ‘ kit ....

Samcro · 11/04/2018 22:08

Yanbu op
I am older and will continue to wear them

SadieHH · 11/04/2018 22:11

Bollocks to that! I got a fab Blondie T shirt at the concert in November. And I wear Ramones T shirts and fuck anyone who thinks they’re ‘generic’. I’m 46 and have zero intention of giving up.

GothMummy · 11/04/2018 22:14

I'm in my 40s and I still own Cure and Mission tshirts.

BringOnTheScience · 11/04/2018 22:54

@dobbyisFREE Nice! Thank you.

Can highly recommend Qwertee.com for fab designs that cross fandoms.

I have a couple of band tee-shirts which amuse the neighbours. The thought of a 60 something raging against the machine is clearly beyond their imagination!
