To ask if these are signs of drug use?

On the back of thinking about this lad on the Coca-Cola thread.

He's a temp, came in for interview dressed very smart and gave off none of the signs he is now. However my drug knowledge is limited so thought I'd ask to put my mind at rest.

-Has a constantly sniffly nose and is sniffing. For the past five weeks he sounds like hes in the middle of a fully blown cold with a snotty nose
-Has one of those vending machine coffees with SIX sugars in it
-Smells quite badly
-Comes in and stares into space, takes a few times asking his name for him to acknowledge
-Looks like he's half asleep and on another planet

He's also came back from a break smelling of what we think is weed! Fortunately he's leaving at the end of next week as he isn't doing what we need him to.

Could this all be drug related?

Maybe he's just not getting enough sleep?

Ps. He sounds like a fairly regular teen/early 20s lad. Try and get something else to concentrate on in life.

Could be but unless you get a sample of his piss or blood then no-one can really tell with any degree of certainty.

Bad Druggies have bad skin. OP didn't mention skin tone or condition.

Are you sure that's sugar he's putting in the coffee?

If he is a temp and isn't performing to an acceptable standard, why I'd he being kept on for another week?
