To do his ironing

Will try to keep it brief, though long story. DP has buggered off for a week or so with his friends (we don't live together). I just had a message from his cleaning/ironing lady to say she won't be in this coming week as she has flu.

So as not to drip feed: we have been together 3 years, but he has yet to introduce me to his family and friends. He sets great store by looking ironed. WIBU to do his ironing in his absence?

Do you go out together as a couple?

You must do? If you bump into people who know you both they must realise you are together? Or do you live really far away from each other?

Clearly there is a lot of other stuff going on here - but regarding the ironing I’d say that if he’s going to be back without much time to do any himself ie home late Sunday, work Monday, it would be a nice gesture to iron him a shirt to wear on Monday if he’s got none already ironed.
Forget doing more than that though! And of he’ll be home with plenty of time before work / has some already ironed clothes to wear then he has time to catch up.
Has he asked you to do the ironing?

Nonsense Pink

Ironing a shirt will take him all of 5 minutes or Sunday evening or Monday morning. I am sure he has five minutes to spare. The op will have to leave her house and travel to his to iron one bloody shirt so that he does not have too as he is a man?

Bollocks to that. She has her own children to look after.
