Helmet for 10month old

Ok. My dd is determined to stand and tries to hold herself into anything. She sometimes misses and bangs her head on the floor (oak floor).

DH wants to buy a helmet. He is very serious about it. I think it is a bit extreme and utterly OTT.

Any thougts?

Umm - I think that is a bit OTT unless DD has fragile skull.

Isn't that a learning thing - hit head - don't do that again...try to land on bottom

OTT. Both my dds have learnt to walk on tiled(sp?) floors.

They do sell padded headgear for people/children with epilepsy. Not usually needed for your average child. They may fall once then learn not to.
Tempting to wrap them in cotton wool though.

Yes, PFB describes the way we all were OTT wrt caring for our first babies.

i think he is a loving caring father, on this evidence alone.

It's different for boys/men. When mums provide just about everything for necessary care and survival of little one's , we havethe invitation to bounce around on the fringes trying( and sometimes over-trying) to add something.

Go easy on him. He's not loopy.

I do think its sweet of him but it is a bit ott. A friend of ours got one for her little boy though and as a result he is terrified of falling over!
