I love having this conversation with colleagues and I'm always really intrigued by answers.

For me it would be the Spira. They were just beautiful.

I love reading through Wiki for old crisp flavours and stuff like that. I don't get out much as you can tell Grin

My thing would be fry pan pizzas. you made the dough from the packet in the box, fried it (I think) and then topped it with the tomato and cheese and herb topping. Was truly delicious!

RunMummyRun68 · 05/04/2018 22:29

glow yes Romany biscuits!! Dark choclatey round biscuits with cream centre?

Lottie2017 · 05/04/2018 22:30

Bacon fries definitely still exist- my parents still buy them from time to time in multipacks along with scampi fries from the pound shop!

Flower752 · 05/04/2018 22:33

Citrus spring drink, lime flavour ..so lovely cold in the summer!

BlueEyedBengal · 05/04/2018 22:38

1cal fizzy pop really loved them all flavours

AntiHop · 05/04/2018 22:39

Fresh minty eggs. Easter has never been the same. They were around in the 80s.

EYFSteacherreturns · 05/04/2018 22:40

Prawn cocktail wotsits
Brought back such yummy memories when I saw the snow flake, Cadbury marble, crunchie ice cream bar, Milky bar choo and the mega truffle ice cream. Mmmmm.

I never understood why they took the galaxy truffle out of the celebrations box... just plain weird.
You can still buy the brannigans ham and mustard crisps in a multipack in £1 shop.

BlueEyedBengal · 05/04/2018 22:46

Walnut whips as they used to be back in the not the tiny version you get today with a tiny walnut flake on the topGrin

You are my hero. You have proved I am not imagining those.

Afonavon · 05/04/2018 22:59

Thayers vanilla ice cream as it used to taste

There was a chewy bar like Wham Bar that was green and called something like Gorgonza

I loved Heinz Space Invaders, Noodle Doodles (“noodle doodle went to town with lots of straight spagghetti, he twisted is around and this is what you get-y...”).

Tomato flavour wheat crunchies

Tomato flavour Wotsits

Mushroom Feasts, which were a bit like an oblong crispy pancake which we’d buy from Kwik Save. DH still yearns for them years later.

Holidayaddict · 05/04/2018 23:03

Saucy sponge in various flavours. It came as a mix. 1980s yum!

Fwend · 05/04/2018 23:07

Toast Toppers! I'd forgotten all about them. The tastiest way to lose all the skin from the roof of your mouth! Grin

Anyone remember Pot Rice? The curry one was the best thing I've ever eaten while in a damp 80's caravan holiday in Wales.

HotSauceCommittee · 05/04/2018 23:08

But niche, but the Ginsters “Pasty Italiano”’ a pasty with pasta and tomato sauce inside.
Also, the M&S ready-made potato and onion bhaji sanwich with minty yogurt dressing and some salad leaves.

OwlinaTree · 05/04/2018 23:08

Ooh I loved banana bubbles!

kierenthecommunity · 05/04/2018 23:36

Mustard and ham crisps.

Do you mean the beef and mustard Brannigans? They sell them in Poundland along with the ham and pickle and the lamb and mint. I used to work in a pub that sold them when they first came out, my dad loved them!

Argeles · 06/04/2018 04:34

@LushLemons

Thank you, that’s amazing!

Sweetpea55 · 06/04/2018 04:54

Walnut whips that had a walnut inside as well as on top.
Lemon puff biscuits
Spangles.
Nice boxes of chocs where each choc is in a paper cup and not a plastic tray.

Sweetpea55 · 06/04/2018 04:57

All the flavours that were removed from Quality St and Roses. And proper liquorice ones in midget gems and sports mixtures

Outfoxed · 06/04/2018 05:22

Echo bars

SabineUndine · 06/04/2018 06:23

Milk tray chocolate bars
Dairylea cheese triangles in six flavours
Cabanas
Sugar stars
Full sized Babybels
Kunzel Showboats

I was thinking of Spurs before I'd read the OP! I loved those.

I was also partial to a Baked Bean Pizza!

I really miss Phileas Fogg snacks. They were a staple of birthday parties at our house. I loved the tortilla chips and the mignon morceaux (bite size garlic bruschetta type things). The brand was brought back, but the food wasn't the same 😞

sakura06 · 06/04/2018 06:51

*Spira not Spurs!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 06/04/2018 06:54
