(TMI) air in vagina post partum?!

Hi so basically I have a weird feeling down there, I though it was a minor prolapse but I’ve ‘felt’ my cervix is still high and I can’t feel things ‘falling in’ to my vagina, but I’ve noticed that’s I alway seem to be able to ‘fart’ from my vagina, like air just lurks around there and when I fart from the back they go towards my vagina. Has anyone had anything like this? Also I have a private postnatal physio check up on Monday just to eliminate anything as I know if I do it’s minor and nhs won’t refer most likely.

Hi. TMI right back at you. I had this too for a bit after birth. It is a sign of very weak pelvic floor muscles. I was fine once I had recovered a bit and was strong enough to do my pelvic floor exercises. In the early days I just couldn't! Fanny much better now but will never be the same again GrinAngry How many weeks post birth are you?

Aaaaliya · 04/04/2018 11:52

I’m 5 months 😭 I thought it would go away but it never did and I started worrying, I’ve been doing kegels but not sure if I’m doing it right hence the physio appt, thanks for reassuring me though! Just got to work on toning up down there 😂

Hopefully your private exam will put your mind at rest. Was your six week check fine?

thecatsarecrazy · 04/04/2018 12:10

I had this. Felt like bubbles coming out for a long time. Still get it now and again and my youngest is 14 months

Yes everything at 6 weeks was fine, it’s not very often either just now and then so hopefully it’s all good 🤞🏻

A TMI tip.....

Don't do it doggy style unless you are realllllllly comfortable with your partner hearing very embarrassing things when he pulls out. Like swamp noises......

OMG it's awful. Never had that problem pre-childbirth.

After 5 children this is the normal daily for me Blush keep up with your exercises and you should be OK
