Aibu to wear ski trousers to legoland?

My DH thinks I'm crazy but I think it's genius. Weather for tomorrow looks cold and wet. If I'm dry I'm more likely to have fun and be in a good mood, no? The DCS have waterproof suits and I want some of the action!

Every time I've been to Legoland it's poured down - it's wetter than the Lake District. I'd wear ski trousers, galoshes and a sou'wester.

Why would it be crazy to wear warm, waterproof clothing in cold, wet weather? And who cares what anyone else thinks?

FrangipaniBlue · 03/04/2018 10:13

I own two pairs of ski trousers which get regular use.

I haven't been skiing in 10yrs.

Your DH knows nothing Grin

I would just wear jeans but wouldn’t think anything if someone wore ski trousers.
Have fun! My kids love legoland!

I knew I was right! We are picling up our LL annual passes tomorrow- very excited Easter Grin

Go for it! I spent a high summer school trip at a "nature park" in jeans and hoody, when it poured down literally all day, and was roughly 5 degrees. I'd have killed for some ski trousers. 🙂

Ski trousers sound fine, though I'd have thought goretex overtrousers would be more suitable.

Passportto · 03/04/2018 13:44

Absolutely you should. Legoland and all theme parks are far preferable in bad weather when there'll be no queues. Properly dressed you can enjoy it in comfort. With waterproof trousers (are ski trousers waterproof?) you can sit wherever without getting a wet backside.

Yanbu.
I invested in waterproof and insulated outdoor trousers for a torrential Paultons Park trip a few years ago. They are invaluable for grotty days out.

YetAnotherUser · 03/04/2018 13:55

Very wise move for wearing on the wet rides too! :D

Tink2007 · 03/04/2018 14:02

We were there yesterday and saw quite a few people in ski trousers and waterproof trousers!

rainbowfudgee · 03/04/2018 14:07

I'm at Paultons today and it's dry thank goodness! Think tomorrow will be wet though. Lots of wet rides so staying dry is the main objective!

I'd buy a cheap pair of waterproof trousers instead and wear over jeans (all hiking shops sell them). Ski trousers are cut to fit over ski boots so will look bizarre, like padded kickflares!
