He got into bed with me this morning, squeezed me with both arms and said 'Oh I love, I love. Mummy I love!'

He's never spontaneously told me that he loves me before, unless he's just copying someone.

I feel like my heart could burst today!

Thats lovely. I have 2 older teens with ASD myself & I love them more than anything, despite them being hard work. They are my world! Smile

That's wonderful 😊😊

jamoncrumpets · 02/04/2018 11:43

I'm so pleased. His speech has exploded recently. He's started finding words for feelings. The social/conversational style still eludes him but if he wants to say something he is getting much better at saying it!

Thanks that's lovely! My just 4yo DD (currently being assessed but likely ASD) is not there yet but has improved so much with using language in the last year, I hope she will one day.
