Need a hug

My cat collapsed and died this morning, I can barely remember driving to the vets.
It seems so unreal, I worry for his sister who's hiding, my husband, how to tell people without falling to pieces, I just feel numb, when I left him at the vets he looked like he was sleeping. No warning, no illness, nothing, he wasn't even old, stayed indoors and was spoiled rotten. He just flopped down, had a fit or something. I literally cannot even think straight

I'm so sorry and sending big hugs. I e lotst let's do old age but I lost our believes bearded dragon very young, very suddenly and with no warning last summer and it was the worst. Be PP have said be gentle with yourself, it will take a long time to sink in. Don't try and be strong for others, you all need to grieve together. Sounds like the most loving cat, you poor thing

I'm so sorry. It happened to me but I knew Troy had heart problems at the age of 5 but it didn't make it any easier. Hugs and for you all.

So sorry OP, we lost our last cat in May last year he was 18, he went suddenly we still really miss him, but we were privileged to live with him since a kitten, you must feel very sad. It’s a cliche I know but time is a great healer. Take it easy, the next few weeks it won’t be easy, based on my experience.

Thank you all. He was spoiled rotten and his sister will continue to be, even more so. Even though they are both mine, he was such a mummys boy

Big hugs, it's 2 years today since my Poppycat passed away, I still have her son, and I'm sure he's taken on parts of her personality in the 2 years she's been gone, still miss her though

It's so incredibly painful when you loose a fur baby, Spin passed away 2 years ago today as well I kept thinking it must be a sick joke, my other cat Blue died a year ago next month. It still hurts a bit I'm sending cuddles from baby and me xxx 💜💚💜💚💜

I've always found boy cats much cuddlier and less aloof than girls, so I bet he really felt like your little friendly shadow. What a horrible shock.

He was happy and loved and with you right up to the end.

Did the vet say what had happened?

That’s dreadful, I’m so sorry . I remember the day we lost our furry boy cat and finding him collapsed with no warning . Awful awful time .
