I have a friend who works as a TA (10 hours a week) supporting children with special needs in the classroom. She has had her hours cut to 5 because the LEA have decided to cut funding. The school has no spare cash to pick up the slack so the children are going to be the losers.
Isn't it time that funding came direct from the government to stop local authorities playing politics and making education of DCs with SENs a postcode lottery?
Or AIBU?
