CF- and gumtree.

So selling an item (bulky) on gumtree. Buyer comes and views ( after 20 pictures requested of item at different fecking angles) Decides they will take it.......and whips out $30 below the asking price, since they are “doing me a favour” and taking it off my hands today.........respectfully told the buyer, asking price is final- any negotiating or requested negotiating should have been done ore pickup. Quite frankly would rather chop it up and burn it than acquiesce to their kind offer......... anyone else with a good gumtree/BSS brassneck story?

I gave away some pieces of furniture as they were cheap and old and it was doing me a favour that people would take these large items away.
A young lad took away a quite horrible sideboard/dresser thing made of laminate, then put it back on gumtree as solid oak for £170!!!
You could see in the picture that it wasn't proper wood.
I kept looking as it was entertaining and he was reducing the price daily.
Obviously never really knew what happened and if anyone paid any cash at all for this top quality item!!!!

vitalogy yeah I know all the tricks now! Luckily for me, I sold it with a flat battery (hadn't been used in a week or so) and the one he sent me a photo of (less than an hour after purchase) showed a full one. Once I realised that and queried it he went silent and I never heard from him again bloody frightening or a while though!

im the same as latebreakfast - set it at a higher price and know im happy to negotiate and get the price i want, has worked every time

I used to import and reupholster French beds then sell them on Gumtree. I had one woman hound me for days saying she really liked it but had no money so I should just give it to her, and another asking if I could lend one to her for a photo shoot free of charge!
