To go back and ask the hairdresser to dry my hair properly?!

Just had a blow dry. I'm an idiot because the girl who washed it did a rubbish job, didn't wash underneath AT ALL and I didn't say anything until the end. I said shall I sit up so you can get underneath after which she rinsed it a bit then put the towel on and said you're done!

The stylist was clearly running behind and I've come out to feel my hair and underneath feel wet - and probably still greasy from not being washed properly.

It's a well-known chain. Would you leave it or go back? Hate not having a proper scrub - the whole point of the apt was to save me doing it myself with a sprained wrist!

Id go back. The idea of getting it washed and blow dried at the hairdressers is they make a better job of it than you could yourself.

I think you should have said something when she said you were done! You should have said, oh dear, I think the bottom was caught under as it's not been washed.

I think it odd to sit there knowing it wasn't washed and let them dry it without saying a word.

I'd go back. You pay enough money at hair salons. Its not unreasonable to expect them to do a proper job. Yes they might be busy but that isn't your dealing. They shouldn't be taking as many appointments if they can't handle them.

LimpidPools · 31/03/2018 12:53

God, just go back. You'll hate yourself if you don't, and you need them to do a proper job because you can't!

OliviaStabler · 31/03/2018 13:00

Too late now. Why didn't you say something at the time?

MeltSnow · 31/03/2018 14:00

I think you should go back but you were a little daft not to have said something at the time. However, they should have noticed.

TellOutMySoul · 31/03/2018 14:03

I didn't notice my hair was damp underneath until I had already left and got part of the way home. The washing thing, yes, I agree, I was not assertive enough.

Don't they train them to wash hair properly?

I think in your shoes I'd just wash it myself or get a friend to help now; but I'd have definitely said whilst she was washing my hair that the bottom had been trapped.

Caulk · 31/03/2018 14:15

Is it very long? I can’t work out how some of it wasn’t washed.

When they showed you the cut, did you say you were happy with it? I’m not sure what they would do if you went back and said you want it dried more (but the cut not changed?)

laurahill88 · 31/03/2018 14:22

If it was me I’d put it down to experience and wash/dry it at home to be honest

TellOutMySoul · 31/03/2018 15:02

It is long but it was all in the sink. By underneath I mean the bit at the nape of your neck - the lengths of the hair were washed but the scalp wasn't scrubbed. Do you see?

It was only a blow dry, no cut.

Yes, my own fault, must be more assertive in future. The hairdressers is the only place I find it hard - I'm normally quite a dragon Wink

Was it Toni&Guy? This happened to me recently. They were behind and the girl dried it and ran the straighteners through the front sections only. She said she only had 15 mins because they were behind. It's so rude and annoying when you've paid £70 for the cut!!

I'd complain and find a new salon.

Caulk · 31/03/2018 16:34

Did you go back?
