For me, the Parkland children being belittled and abused in so many ways is utterly heartbreaking to witness. But they have been more adult than the adults in their response. They have shown us what faith means, and bravery. POTUS? He is made much, much smaller.

I'm very envious! I have no one to rant at discuss politics with safely, on a regular basis. Would probably just be the smouldering remains of a spontaneous combustion incident by this point if it weren't for these threads Grin

'You don’t have much choice; otherwise, they subpoena. As people who pay attention have noticed, there have been no subpoenas, there have been no grand jury subpoenas. This has gone in a very smooth way. You haven’t heard any complaints from Mueller, and everything is negotiated heavily, so it’s not like we just opened up the file drawers and let them come in and pick out what they wanted.'

edition.cnn.com/2018/03/29/politics/trump-staffing/index.html

'Several of President Donald Trump's outside advisers have told him over the past week he requires neither a chief of staff nor a communications director, at least in the traditional definition of those jobs, according to a person familiar with the conversations.

Trump has absorbed the advice, but offered little indication whether he's interested in taking it, the person said. He's been warned by other confidants that it's impossible to run the West Wing without a chief of staff.'

Kremlin Sees Cracks in West’s Unity as France, Germany Keep Ties

www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/articles/2018-03-29/kremlin-sees-cracks-in-west-s-unity-as-france-germany-keep-ties

The Kremlin is sensing a crack in European unity as France and Germany seek to maintain ties, even after the West’s unprecedented expulsion of Russian diplomats over the nerve-agent attack in the U.K.

French President Emmanuel Macron still plans to visit a showcase economic forum in Russia in late May, Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said Thursday, two days after Germany gave final approval for construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline that bypasses other European states to deliver Russian gas.

Confirmation of Macron’s visit demonstrates France’s “constructive position” in seeking dialogue despite “sometimes quite serious” differences, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters on a conference call Thursday. Approval of the pipeline shows German Chancellor Angela Merkel is “trying to limit the damage from this scandal,” Alexei Pushkov, head of the information policy committee in Russia’s upper house of parliament, told state radio.

This means people in Conyers' district will go over a year without representation in Congress

What their attackers are (possibly deliberately) misunderstanding is that these great Parkland “kids” are more intelligent, both emotionally and generally, than the adults putting them down so patronisingly. The children are the future, the GOP and Trump supporters are going to be the past sooner than they think. (I hope.)
