I think my mum heard me saying weird things in my sleep

NC for this. It's gonna sound crazy so I'll keep it brief but I've been obsessing about it all day and really just need some peace of mind that I'm being utterly ridiculous.

So yeah my mum stayed at my house in my spare room last night, and I was having a REALLY weird dream (I can't go into it it's just too weird) sometimes I talk in my sleep and I'm terrified I was talking in my sleep and my mum heard my weird dream.

I'm pregnant so have been having a lot of off dreams recently but I have literally been obsessing all day that my mum heard my (extremely odd) sleep talking

Sorry if this sounds made up or ridiculous can someone just confirm I'm thinking about this too much?

Even if she did, who cares?! Honestly, your mum won’t care. Neither should you.

Phosphorus · 28/03/2018 13:54

She's your mother.

She's spent your whole life listening to weierd stuff you say while your awake. Grin

Unless you were threatening to poison her morning coffee, in which case you'd have noticed her giving you the side-eye, I reckon you're OK.

Hotdoggity · 28/03/2018 13:54

Erm, ask her?

DameLillyTillicut · 28/03/2018 13:59

Firstly, unless you were sleep shouting, whatever you said would have been muffled by the walls. Secondly, if you were asleep, chances are she was too. Thirdly, if she's your mum, she probably already knows you say random stuff in your sleep anyway. Fourthly, (in the nicest way) no-one else cares as much as you do about what is going on in your head anyway so she probably wasn't craning her neck to listen.

Sorry, that all sounds very blunt but I wanted to give you a list of reasons not to worry about something not worth worrying about Smile

Unless you were confessing to multiple murders or whispering "blood... Kill... Blood", no-one gives a shit.

People say weird stuff in their sleep. She probably didn't hear you, and if she did she almost certainly doesn't care. Let it go.
